We were told we would be given itemized receipts weekly when we paid our invoices, but that never happened either. According to our calculations, with all of the materials we bought, we overpaid the contract by about $ 8,000. I had to text Larry and inform him that we would not be purchasing any more material or paying any invoices he submitted for payment until he provided itemized receipts. The contract also included $4,000 for his fees for managing the job. We paid half of his management fees up front, and I dare him to ask for the other half because he came to the job site 3 times from July 2022 until February 2023. One trip was the first day of work, the second trip to discuss how much stone would be needed and where it was to be installed, and the third trip was to measure cabinets. He has never even seen the finished product, which is still not finished, but Larry refuses to respond to texts or phone calls anymore.
We had to purchase materials such as insulation, siding, lumber, a window and sheetrock to even keep the job moving forward because he was in the hospital and his wife nor other employees ever responded to texts or voice mails until days later.
His main worker would show up for a day, maybe two, then we may not see him again for a week or more. When he did show back up, he seemed to never have the right material or tools to move forward, and with two lumber yards in town he would never go buy the material he needed, he just said he would be back the next day, but seldom was gone for several days doing other jobs Mr. Featherston had going.
To this day, we lost an outside water hydrant that was covered up with stone which was supposed to be moved away from the house prior to the masonry work. Some flooring transition pieces were never installed either. We picked up trash and provided hand tools, wheel barrows and other items as workers did not have these items on their work trucks. We constantly picked up trash they left behind when work was done and cleaned sheetrock mud, paint, etc. from items lent to them.
For Larry to brag about being a Sunday School teacher and man of God, this is not the way you treat paying customers. Do not walk, but run from this company.
