    I hired Economy via a home warranty to to an ac tuneup. The checked the refrigerant and left indicating I needed a new appt. They failed to do any required tune up work nor explain why. I responded negatively to their questionnaire and the owner called very upset. Despite the situation being as I explained.Since I needed refrigerant I was again assigned Economy for that work. In the meantime I reviewed Yelp reviews on Economy and others had experienced similar behaviors. In addition, when later assigned in other Yelp review, Economy said they could schedule a service for 2 weeks and they estimated a $300 out of pocket cost for refrigerant. When the Yelp reviewer hired an alternative contractor the entire charge was $40 with no refrigerant. So, as expected when I spoke to Economy they estimated a $460 charge for refrigerant and they couldnt even schedule me for a week. This is obviously a game they in ripping off customers with faulty refrigerant charges and delaying service as long as possible. I strongly recommend nobody use their service.

    **************** did not hire **. The *** home warranty company has a contract with him and he pays them direct for an a/c tune up only and is told when setting the work order up through the warranty company that there can be no failures. Upon the technician arriving to the home he finds the system is froze up and we can not do an a/c tune up on the system with it not cooling(home owner knew it was not cooling) we would need a service work order from the home warranty company to make repairs and then would complete the tune up after repairs were made to the system so we could do a proper tune up. The home owner called his home warranty company and they sent a service work order to ** to authorize the repairs . The system has a refrigerant leak and was almost empty of refrigerant. The home warranty only covers $10 per lbs(refirgerant is running $135.00lb) on refirgerant and the repair, the home owner is responsible the the remaining balance that the home warranty does not cover, This is in his contract with the home warranty company had he read it. We have nothing to do with his payments to the warranty company and never collected from him. Home owners try to blame the contractor when they are customers of the home warranty company and did not contact ** direct, they do not listen to the facts and when they don't have the knowledge to understand the process of using a home warranty company they try to make ** look like a bad company. When we did our job accordingly through our contract with the home warranty company. We do not have a yelp add and not sure what the home owner is trying to pull, but this is not a complaint on ** just a mad customer that did not read his contract with his home warranty company. His complaint sounds like it should be with his home warranty company not Economy. As far as him having to wait for the repairs , it was only 5 days. We have had 3 companies go out of business in the area and we are having to take on all the extra clean up work and are booked up. The home owner knew he had a cooling issue and should have know we can not do a tune up if the system is not cooling that is clearly going to be a repair just to try not to have to spend extra money on a service call.

    Economy AC may want to look up their own business on Yelp because they have terrible reviews, primarily due to the nastiness of the lady claiming to own the business. I certainly did have an issue with my home warranty company but that was exacerbated by Economy AC games played when they failed to provide a service I paid for then tried to force me to use them as the contracted ac company used by my warranty company. The nasty lady with the attitude couldnt wait to **** up the price on coolant when it was a mere 1/2 pound low. Verified by my bill from a reputable company who put the 1/2 pound in it. This issue was entirely resolvable if this lady had a better attitude. So if youd like attitude, lies, and drama hire the demon from economy AC.
