Nutex Mechanical installed the 2 heat pumps in my new home (purchased Feb 28, 2022). The heat pump for my upstairs leaked damaging my ceiling, carpet, floor sheeting. After they fixed the root of the leak, I had a second party inspection done on the 2 heat pump installs and spring tune-up. No work was needed to be done, but remediation recommended, I forwarded this to Nutex Mechanical, then my upstairs heat pump stopped blowing cold air ( a reboot fixed it) they sent out a technician who also identified deficiencies in the install above my inspection. Nutex is not honoring the warranty citing that another company inspected it so warranty is void. Rather convenient to void warranty when someone else identifies your short comings.

Business Response /* (1000, 21, 2022/10/05) */ Per the notes of the other contractor that was out, they stated that the install was done to satisfaction. Per the agreement with the buyer and builder and contractor, if they have another contractor out it may void the warranty. We did not provide the equipment, we only installed the equipment. The equipment and any was provided by the builder. Any malfunction of the equipment would be addressed with the builder or the manufacturer. Installation was complete and passed per the inspection they had done with another provider. Consumer Response /* (3000, 23, 2022/10/06) */ I am still uncertain how a visual inspection voids their labor warranty. Add to it that they installed damaged equipment as per the visual inspection. On top of this the install was not done correctly as the unit leaked and caused damage to my house (Attached Picture) Thanks Jens ******** XXX-XXX-XXXX Business Response /* (4000, 25, 2022/10/06) */ The equipment was not provided by our company the homeowner would need to contact their builder for any issues with the equipment. The inspection report the homeowner provided stated the equipment install met standard guidelines. Nutex Mechanical did not manufacture the equipment and cannot warranty the equipment, the builder and manufacturer warranty the equipment. The builder can have another contractor work on the equipment. The agreement between Nutex Mechanical and the builder is that a warranty may be voided if another contractor works on the equipment. Consumer Response /* (4200, 27, 2022/10/07) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have proof that the install was incorrect. Having a visual inspection should never void the warranty as stated by Nutex. Their own technician commented on how bad the install was done.
