On May 22nd, I emailed Nutex Mechanical an email message that stated, We would like to request a reimbursement for an out-of-pocket expense of $229.00 from work completed by Mr. ****** Plumbing, with our receipt attached on May 9th."" Here are the details: On May 8th, the employee from Nutex Mechanical was dispatched to our home in ******, **, from First Home Warranty because we had a major leakage from our hot water tank. He observed, acknowledged, and diagnosed the leakage. Then he tried to shut off the water valve at the top of the tank, striped the shut-off valve, but nothing closed off, causing the leakage to flow faster. Then he stated he would write up the work order to tell First Home Warranty to recommend a new water heater, since it failed, then he left. The inexperienced employee left after only spending 10 to 12 minutes. (My point is that he did not stop the leak.) Our home was beginning to flood out; it was a nightmare. We called them back multiple times to come stop the leak, but they kept giving us the runaround. We had to call another plumbing service the next day to come stop the major leak. After asking for a reimbursement of an out-of-pocket expense from using another plumber, they ignored my phone calls and kept brushing me off just so I could go away. Nonetheless, even with a home warranty, they charged me $1125.00 to replace my existing failed tank on May 21st. My hot water tank they took out had a manufacturing warranty on it, (Free Hot Water Tank) which was ordered through First Home Warranty. After a horrific experience, I would never recommend Nutex Mechanical. They are a big rip-off, and we feel scammed.
