We never had any issues with this company up until we tried to cancel our plan. This is when we realized this is not a good company or at least the people we dealt with. We bought this house about a year ago and the previous owner installed the unit with them and we thought it would be best to continue using the same company since they installed it. the sales guy ******** ******* scammed us. He told us we are signing a 1 year contract for the advantage plan which is about $68 a month. We had signed up with some other plan which was $10 a month and he said this was a better plan and explained the difference. After we agreed he then asked for my wifes social. When I asked him why he said its part of their process that the owners like to have this information. He then continued asking us how much we make. Now I realize all the questions he was asking was to run our credit for a loan. The guy was acting very nice and professional. one of the owners **** lives in our community and Claudius knew that he is our neighbor so I was not thinking Claudius was scamming us. This guy straight up lied to us. when we signed the documents all he showed us on the iPad he had was the plan we were getting for $68. He never disclosed to us on the contract or verbally that we were signing a 10 year contract for $5000 at a 6.5% interest rate. We would have NEVER agreed to this. We havent lived in a house for more than 2 and half years in the past ************************ past 10 years we have moved 6 times. He hid the details of the contract from us. Scammed us. Lied to us. We contacted the business several times. Each time they telll us they will send an email to their managers and someone will call us. Nobody has called. Nobody is reaching out. I left Claudius a vm and he never tried calling back. We will see how they handle this. Im sure some laws have been broken considering Claudius never disclosed to us or showed us we are signing a 10 year contract.Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning Response

We've used this company for more than 15 years. It used to be a small family owned business. It was taken over by the conglomerate Service Experts. Recently one of our 3 Geo-thermal units went down. This is a unit we bought from them. They (Flanders) installed it. We had a service contract with them. The parts were still under warranty. Their first visit was May2, 2024. After 2 hours we were told by the mechanic "the system was up and running" . On May 6th it was still not running. The heater remained in parts on our floor for 2 months. In that time 4 or 5 different mechanics showed up. On 3 of those occasions, with parts that were broken out of the box. Customers are charged travel time, fair if the problem is fixed in a professional & timely manner. Their ** said they were short staffed and that's why there was no personnel consistency. This created an inflated maintenance time frame, the cost of which was passed on to us. On June 25th the heater was finally fixed. When I asked for a copy of our maintenance records, the ** refused. We've never haggled over a bill with any vendors or contractors we've done business with. Ever. We offered to pay the initial invoice of $1300. which two of their previous employees informed us was high. We've not paid any part of the final invoice $2,425.01. When this was a smaller family company it was great. They have one good mechanic but what they seem to excell at after the takeover is billing.Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning Response

Had this company for 8 years. This year they came to do my furnace maintenance (3 weeks ago).? As scheduled. I was told my furnace blower was extremely dirty and would cause the unit to fail if I didn't get it cleaned, quoted 350. After they left I got the health summary and there was an additional issue listed that was never discussed , my water heater was back drafting (safety issue) No quote given. My instincts told me something wasn't right so I called in another ** for a se**nd opinion. The water heater is not back drafting. I watched him test it. Had new company **me out today to clean blower, less money. He checked everything furnace and water heater. He noticed the furnace was not cleaned 3 weeks ago, so he cleaned it, the blower has a very small amount of dust. Service not required and water heater is still fine.Beware when they **me to your home. They always send a salesman.Review from S. H.

They cancelled my appointment today which I had scheduled at least a month in advance and for which I took a day off of work in order to be home for the furnace maintenance checkup which is included in the membership which is a monthly autopay fee for which they recently increased their rates by 50% without notification. They did not make any effort to right this situation, they did not care about the expense this has cost me, and they did not care about my wasted time and money. Their solution was to reschedule in 3-4 weeks at which time I would need to take ANOTHER day off work in order to be home for the service. NO, I already took today off, I'm not losing ANY more money because of them. They increased rates and failed to deliver. They caused me to miss work, and I paid them money for that!!!*** ******, the company's founder, would be rolling in his grave if he saw how they're running the business. He was a regular customer of mine years ago, and I used to bend over backwards to help him out, same as I do with all my customers. They should not do this membership program unless they are able to deliver. I discovered that this company isn't really who they claim to be. They say they're TML, which was a local HVAC company that was owned by a man named *** ******, but they now show up as this "Service Experts" which is some nationwide corporate conglomerate blob, which explains why they don't give a c*** about their customers. THEY ARE NOT LOCAL!! They are imposters!!Review from Linda W

This company is such a scam- talking older clients into leasing their heat/ac units rather than buying outright. I did not know about this arrangement until my mom passed away. In 2020, the original price of the unit was $10,400. After nearly 4 years, we still owe $9,159.00, ($8,528.00 for early termination fee, plus $631.00 in remaining lease payments. She paid $157.75 for her monthly service charges so they would change her filters. I calculated that she paid $1,893.00 yearly for their service. The last time anyone looked at the unit was November 19, 2023. We are now selling the house so I feel that unless i want to take this to court, i have no recourse but to pay this off. I have used Knochelman for several years, and am always pleased with the work they do. Great customer ********************** and the technicians are always on time, very good at the work they do, and very conscientious about all that they do. **** and Bo came today and installed a new furnace and air conditioner. Unfortunately, there is no option for negative stars. If you hear that your elderly parents, or anyone else you care about, have contacted this company, put a stop to it immediately! They prey on helpless elderly people, scaring them into replacing perfectly good furnaces. Luckily, my parents told me what was going on in time to intervene. We had a second company inspect it and there was NOTHING wrong with it at all! One of the parts cited actually has a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer! The burners that they said were bad are actually in "great shape." This company should be forced out of business for their shameful, dishonest, and despicable practices, conning venerable people out of their hard-earned money, $12,000 at a time.Review from Deborah C
