            In March, 2021, BBB investigated Techsist Web Solution's business practices.  This investigation was prompted by a large volume of complaints from consumers allege they contact Techsist Web Solution from online searches for tech support services and are not provided with tech support services.

            Consumers are often informed they must purchase additional software to be installed on their computer or enlist in a contract or subscription. Consumers then allege the software further corrupts their computer and are additionally charged for services they did not agree to.

            BBB contacted Techsist Web Solution by email and direct calls but as of May 20, 2021 has not received any response from Techsist Web Solution.

            I was on my desktop computer looking to resolve an issue with my NetGear router and the activation of USB port for my HP printer. A window popped up stating they from NetGear and would contact me. I received a call about 10 minutes later. Funny thing is I never gave them my phone number. They told me that they could assist me for a 3 year policy for $300.00. Well, being stupid and wanting a quick fix I went ahead and purchased the scam. Amazingly, they did fix my problem. But, I called their 888 number and was told that the number was no longer in service. Well, here I sit with a $300 policy that is a scam. Boy, all the college money paid off. Lol

            07/23/2022 Was forced to give the business a star rating but even giving it a 1 is unjustified - should be 0. I initially call Netgear (or so I thought) for help my wifi extender hook up. I was told that I had corrupt files on my computer and that I needed to get them cleaned up. The "representative" said that they could but I would need to purchase a contract for software support. I was given the impression that this was through Netgear, but it turns out it was not. My recent purchase of a new computer proved that I had been defrauded; something I strongly suspected at the time but fell victim to on 1/26/21. I filed a dispute with DISC to refund $234.99, the full amount of the 3-year contract because I had clearly not received any goods or product from this company. Also, they are NOT affiliated with NETGEAR. Hoping to recover some of my loss but most importantly, want to make others aware that this business is not BBB accredited as they claim on their letterhead and they are just a scam.
