A sales associate at a kiosk in The Woodlands Mall sat me down in the chair by encouraging me to help the female sales rep from Israel by purchasing a skin serum. The male associate started comparing his military service to mine. I was offered a discounted rate on the D’Or Face Peeling Serum and a free refining moisturizing cream + a free 1 hr facial @ the Gold Elements Salon (value $395). Approximately 20 min), I started experiencing symptoms of an allergic reaction - skin red and splotchy, burning, itching and numb in some areas and eyes got watery and red. So I went back to the kiosk and the same sales associate tried to wipe the area around my eyes. Unfortunately, that didn’t help and she asked if I’d like a refund. I said “yes I think that’s best”. I was instructed to talk to a manager at Gold Elements Salon.. When I got there I was told that a refund was not possible at stated on the receipt (which you get upon payment [but there were no marked signs]) and offered a “gentler” product. I didn’t want to chance any further reactions and INSISTED on a refund. I was told to contact the customer service # at the bottom of the brochure since the manager was gone for the day. I asked him if he could call the mgr and was told No. Instead, he took my contact info so the mgr could call me tomorrow (11-8-2023). B4 leaving he tried to guilt trip me saying if I returned the items I’d be depriving the Israeli sale girl a paycheck. When I got home part of my face was numb and part felt like it was on fire. I attempted to call the customer svc. # but was unsuccessful. I also tried to Google Gold Elements Salon at the Baybrook Mall but was unsuccessful at that too. At this point, I’m requesting a refund for the full amount of $216.50 and will return the items afore mentioned (- coupon which was accidentally left at the salon.). I provided them pics of my face and receipt + the items I was sold / given. I stated I’ll file a complaint w/ BBB, Tx AG and post on social media.
