On 11/21/22 I purchased a few item inside store 559 on ********** in **************. My card was charged for an additional ****** and cleared the rest of my money in my account 3 days before Thanksgiving. I was told it should go back on there in 30 minutes. We'll it didn't so I started to panic. Then was told by maverik it was a 24 hour hold. Well 24 hours went by and then was told by maverik that they didn't have access to transactions and that my bank must be holding. Contacted my bank and they said it's maverik that has a hold on everything. Went to maverik and called again in a desperate attempt to get Thanksgiving money for my family since maverik decided to hold it all.. now I should have Thanksgiving dinner purchased and begin preparing but I'm still waiting for maverik to release a hold on all my Thanksgiving money. Sadly my family probably won't have one this year because of this. Hope you are happy with yourself maverik. You destroyed our holiday.Business response

Thank you for your note. I apologize for any inconvenience the pre-authorization may have caused you.In the future, if you pay inside the store, you can skip this process. This hold is done through a credit processing company and with the bank. It is to drop as soon as the transaction completes. Unfortunately, this one did not fall off right away due to the banking system. I assure you that the hold was released on our end.
I have your information and my team is going to send you a Maverik Gift Card to just say thanks for shopping at Maverik. I know this doesnt correct the bank releasing the hold, but we are sorry if this caused hardship.Sincerely,

I visited the Maverik today at ****************************************** to get gas. I waited inside my car while the pump did its thing. After the tank was full the gas nozzle do not auto stop and continued to poor an extra gallon or two of gasoline all down the side of my car, into the wheels, into the seems of the bumper, and on the ground. In 30 years of driving, I have never seen anything like this happen before. It was a bit of an inconvenience at the time and I alerted the attendant to the issue so should could place the pump out of order and clean up the gas that had gushed everywhere.The smell of gas in and outside of my car was so pronounced that we had to take it to the car wash. Despite thorough washing, the smell persists and the car is currently parked in my driveway on this snowy night because the noxious fumes are permeating our garage and house. I realize I may just be an unlucky customer, but I think gas pumping stations should NEVER malfunction like this. The outcome is bad for the environment, costs the consumer money in wasted gas, and can cause damage to the vehicle. If the smell on my car persists or the gas causes damage to my paint or auto components, I will be motivated to file a lawsuit with Maverik.*********************** ********************************************* ************Business response

Thanks for letting us know about this, I opened an incident with our claims department @ ********************************* and they will be reaching out.
Just for your information, you should never leave your fuel dispenser unattended while fueling, it is dangerous to do so and warnings are posted. There is never a guarantee that a fuel nozzle will automatically shut off. We will review video and be in contact with you.

Maverik is billing the wrong bank account on my "Nitro" card.I am a 100% disabled Veteran. I attempted to contact their customer service, but reached someone in a foreign country who could not speak passable American English. I asked to speak to a manager in *******, but after being on hold for over ten minutes, gave up.I do NOT give out my banking information to foreign countries - that's a way to get ones' identity stolen.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:(1) Your customer service personnel did NOT "reach out" to me - I attempted numerous times to contact them, and finally reached a young lady in ****, who had me re-enter my new bank information again, claiming that I had more than one "Nitro" card that was active. I DID NOT - I HAD TWICE REPLACED MY OLD CARDS, AND MAVERIK FAILED TO DEACTIVATE THE OLD ONES.
(2) THIS MORNING (03/01) Maverik AGAIN debited my OLD bank account for a purchase of $30.00
