Current Alerts For This Business
In January 2018, BBB attempted to contact MissionSoft Incorporated (www.federaljobsearch.com) regarding its federal job search and resume writing services. The website offers search functions for federal (United States Government) positions and two resume products: “Professional Resume Writing Services” and “Prowess Resume Optimizer”. The writing service is described as “Maximize your credentials by enlisting the services of one of our talented writers, who will craft an impactful, professional and attention-getting Federal Resume to help you land the interview” & “A comprehensive re-framing of your professional experience to target the competencies of your desired position”. The resume optimizer includes the language “An incredibly affordable self-service subscription, which will allow you to analyze and edit your resume, discover more professional language, and identify overlooked skills” & “Score Resume Against Jobs; Keyword and Task Suggestion; Gap Analysis vs Job; & Rank vs Other Applicants”.
BBB asked MissionSoft to provide background information including a completed BBB Business Questionnaire, the address of its principal office or headquarters, names and full contact information of ten customers who have obtained employment as a result of its services, copies of all contracts and consumer agreements, a full explanation of fees & refund policies, and copies of all advertising and promotional materials.
BBB also requested substantiation of satisfaction guarantees advertised in relation to its services. The results of that inquiry are reported in the Advertising Review section of this Business Profile.
As of February 8, 2018, BBB had received no response from the business regarding the information requested.
BBB’s general understanding is that positions with the United States Government are posted online and available to search by job seekers at no cost. Without further information from the business, BBB is unable to verify the legitimacy of the firm’s resume writing & enhancement services. BBB urges consumers to use caution with any website advertising job search services for positions with the federal government or any employer that are searchable online free of charge.
