We rented this vehicle for our wedding night send off. A week prior to our wedding, we were unable to reach Dawn the owner of Top Shelf her number was disconnected. She stated that due to COVID she had not paid her bills. She was not professional enough to even reach out to anyone to explain this situation and we did not have time to find another transportation vendor at such short notice. She stated that all was well and we were all set for our wedding night, a rental that included our pick up from the venue and a scenic drive through the town completing our 3 hour rental. Approximately 5 minutes into our trip from the wedding venue, the car broke down completely, leaving us were stranded on a dark street behind the venue. We were fortunate to have a very professional and kind-spirited driver however our get-away plans were completely ruined. After multiple unsuccessful attempts at getting the vehicle to start, he was able to finally get the car back running enough to drop us off at our hotel which we all agreed was best because obviously the vehicle was clearly not working properly. After 2 days, we still had not heard from Dawn the owner of the company. We had to write to her an email and call in order for us to get her acknowledgement and give a unconcerned partial apology for this ordeal that ruined our wedding night. The situation was further exasperated by her cavalier, extremely non remorseful approach to resolving our issue by not even offering our money back by which we should be fully refunded for having not received the service we paid for. Her total disregard for her unprofessionalism was clearly illustrated with her offer of a minimal refund siting she felt it was best and fair for all parties involved. To add further insult to an already horribly ruined wedding night caused by her she offered to subtract the driver's gratuity from the minimal refund she was going to give us. Showed our proof to our credit card co. got our money back. ABSOLUTELY HORROR

It is most unfortunate that on your wedding day the Virginia weather provided you with torrential downpours all day long. It is also most unfortunate that the vehicle stalled for a few minutes, due to something unforeseen getting wet causing a brief short which caused the vehicle to stall. This was a direct result of the torrential rain that day combined with a classic vehicle. Yes, I had COVID and personally shared what was happening with me via a phone conversation. There was no reason to cancel your service because, I, the owner had covid and fell short with my administrative tasks. I could barely lift my head; this is no reflection on how I run my business. This was a brief illness that is a worldwide issue that couldn't be helped. The original job details consisted of pick up at the wedding venue dropping off at the local hotel. The ride through the country was an add on that I was willing to accommodate you for the additional drive since it was within your 3 hours of service. Of course, I would never bother someone on their honeymoon. This clearly would be unprofessional. However, when I received your email, I called you within 3 minutes, you did not answer so I emailed you immediately with my deepest and sincerest apologies. The vehicle has never done this and has not given us any problems since. I offered a refund, your reply was irate, hostile and inconsolable. This is clearly an overreaction to a car stalling due to excessive rain fall. In 7 years, the team of Top Shelf Transportation has earned over 160 all 5-star reviews on all platforms. Yours is the first review received less than 5 stars; I believe this speaks for the experience you will receive with Top Shelf Transportation. I understand from another vendor you tried/are trying not to pay what they are due for their services. This is what some people do.
