Its taken me over a year to be able to write this review. I rented a house out in 11/2014 through The Wright Choice (TWC). They found a renter and indicated he had a recent bankruptcy so he could not purchase a home. I ended the rental in 6/2022. What I found when I entered my house was just short of a disaster area. To name just a few:- my expensive 2nd floor carpeting was destroyed (had to be replaced)- 1st floor hardwood floors damaged and had to be refinished (still some damage left)- two poison ***************** growing up the length of a very tall tree - appeared the **** filters were never changed, mold growing on air return grates - Both smoke detectors missing - appeared yard was never maintained (had to bring in a landscaper)- house was out and out filthy, thick layer of grease covering kitchen ceramic tile, filth in every corner, bathtubs a disaster, thick grim over ceiling fans - the vents in my attic were boarded over and the fan removed I understand normal wear and tear but this was way over the top. I calculated my losses at what I thought was easy enough to claim at just over $10,000 for the floors and carpeting which TWC sent to the tenant. TWC made no effort to collect and suggested I go to small claims. Thats when I learned the tenant is a dead beat. The bankruptcy was just the tip of the iceberg as I found claims of fraud and other legal proceedings against him. Had I known this tenants track record, I never would have leased my house to him. TWC did quarterly inspections but never did they indicate the extent of the damage being done. If I knew, I would have ended the lease then. It cost me over $35,000 to bring the house up to a livable standard. TWC is great at collecting rent and were helpful to get issues resolved such as appliance malfunctions. They leave a lot to be desired when it comes to maintaining property. If I were to use them again, which I absolutely will not, I would insist that I be permitted to do a yearly inspection myself.
