I took my German Sheppard, **** to see these people last Tuesday 3/15/22 because he was not feeling good, at all. After charging me an additional ***** for an emergency visit (which took about 2 hours to be seen) they ran some blood work on him and determined that his kidney levels were over twice what they should have been. The vet laid out a plan of action, that seemed reasonable at the time so I agreed to let them keep him for 2 days to flush his kidneys out and pump some IV antibiotics into him. 2 days later I get the call that nothing is working and its time to end his suffering. So when I show up on Thursday to put him down, he is swollen up like a grape about to pop and struggling for every breath that he was taking (definitely not how I left him). After I took him home and buried him, I did some rudimentary research into kidney disease in dogs and it turns out that these conditions are just about 100% fatal. This is where my problem begins. This was never mentioned to me at all. So basically my complaint is that they tortured my big ole gentle giant for 2 days knowing that the chances of making any improvement was almost zero but they had NO trouble at all charging me an additional $*******, in addition to the ****** that I paid them on Tuesday to torture my animal. I think this was entirely based on their bottom line and not what was best for my animal. There should have been a full disclosure of what I and my dog were getting into and the chances of it doing any good at all. VERY deceptive business practices. My animals have always been family members and are treated as such in my home. I would have spent 3 times what I did to help him but that was not what this office did for him and they knew full well that what they were doing would make no difference. VERY DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES.
