In January 2018, BBB attempted to contact the website securemaltesehome.com after receiving two complaints alleging that consumers paid $500 for Maltese puppies.  The consumers subsequently paid an additional $910 in shipping costs in one case and an additional $970 in another.  The consumers had no further contact from the website and did not receive the puppies nor the refunds requested in their complaints to BBB. 

BBB asked securemaltesehome.com to provide basic information including its physical address, a working telephone number, names & contact information of responsible management, and verification of state and/or federal licensure to transport pets.  BBB also requested references with full contact information for at least ten (10) U.S. consumers who had made successful purchases via the website.

As of January 16, 2018, BBB had received no response from securemaltesehome.com.  Registry information for the website shows that it originates in Thailand.  BBB has not been able to locate information connecting the website to any corporation or other entity in the United States. 

BBB has reason to believe that securemaltesehome.com is a fraudulent website and urges consumers to use extreme caution before making a purchase or sharing any other information.
