      I called them for a quote. The first quote was under my original insurance company and had just renewed with them. I stated that I would need to wait for 2 weeks before I could start the policy at that time I was informed that the price might go up. When I returned to them the agent told me that they would need my account information to give me a quote. So I did and it was higher but at this point it still opted to take the insurance. Before I had left work I received another call from the agent this time to tell me that the last quote (I had just that day no more than 5 hours ago talked to them) had went up again at this point it was way higher than I was will to pay and told them I did not want the insurance. What I did not know was I had been bill already and the money would come out of my account on Friday. So with in the time I had talked to them from the first part of that week I had been bill the was not cancelled and the money automatically taken out of my account. This has caused the account to be over drafted costing me a fee of $38 dollars. The agency at this time has not resolved this problem into the best of mine knowledge most likely will not. What can I do? I did not ask to have there services and was under the impression they had been canceled even though Friday I ended up being billed for them.

      Mr. *******, Let me start by expressing my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused to you. When your policy was originally quoted and bound, there was a system error that caused your policy to get hung in the pended bound category. When we attempted to push it through, they system made us rerun the mileage and for some reason the rate came back higher. As soon as that happened, we reached out to you to let you know, and upon you stating you no longer wanted to have this policy, we cancelled it back to the inception date so that the full amount of premium would be refunded to you. Unfortunately, we have no control over the banking aspect of then insurance, and sometimes it takes a couple of days for everything to process and catch up with each other. I know the full premium was refunded and I have been made aware that your account got an overdraft charge. We have been trying to reach you by phone, email, and text to let you know that we have submitted a request to the billing department to reimburse the $38 overdraft fee. When we do that, we have to submit call recordings and any other documentation we have to show that it was incurred due to an error on our part. I have no role in that decision making process, we can only submit the request to corporate and they make the decision from there. One of the reasons we have made so many attempts to reach you is, if Corporate does approve our request, we will need a copy of your bank statement to give them for verification of date and amount. I completely understand your frustration, technology is great until it doesn't work exactly the way we want it to. However, communication with my managers is key to helping us help you. My office managers are keeping an eye on the request submitted to corporate, and if we can get an approval, they will be reaching out again to obtain a copy of the bank statement showing the date and amount of the charge. Again, please accept my sincerest apologies. We strive to be the best we can be and do the best thing for our customers and community. Occasionally we are faced with challenges our of our control, but we will go to bat for you no matter if you are an active customer or not.

      As an update. I went into the system today and found that the full amount, along with the overdraft fee has been refunded to you in full. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience. It is frustrating for you and me both when the software has glitches, but I am glad we were able to get you corrected. Hope you have a great rest of the day and I hope you will give us another shot in the future.
