I am staying at the Ocean Sands Resort. I reserved a one bedroom two bathroom suite from 7/8-7/12. Upon check-in yesterday evening, I notified front desk at approximately 7pm that I was placed in the wrong room. I was put in a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom instead. I was told that the room I was supposed to be in was currently in use and the family would be leaving in the morning. I was also told that housekeeping was notified that the room needs to be cleaned immediately upon check out and that my daughter and I would be able to change rooms this morning. To give housekeeping time, I called down to the front desk at 12 pm to ask for status of my room change. The young lady I spoke with said she was in training, but would give my number to the *** who would be coming in within 30-60 minutes. I waited for a phone call and never received one. I then went to the front desk around 3:35 and explained to the gentleman what was going on and that I was checking the status of my room change. I also informed him how dirty my current room is and showed him pictures. He then asked that I email them to him. He said the *** was around and that he would get message to him to call me. He also stated that the room wasn’t cleaned and that housekeeping was about to leave shortly. It’s 5:07 pm and still no phone call. For clarification, there are blood stains on my comforter, the bathroom is dirty (hair in tub and on toilet seat and stain on floor behind toilet), and carpet is dirty. I am pretty perturbed with the lack of care/response to the dirty room as well as the slothful attitude towards changing my room. I went back to front desk and was told *** wasn’t around and sorry that nothing had been resolved. In the meantime, nothing has been offered to rectify this situation and I’m feeling safe to assume that nothing will change tonight and I’ll be sleeping in the same dirty room. This is poor quality service and my experience here has been extremely disappointing thus far.
