In November 2023 we purchased a certified pre owned car from Mercedes Benz of Spokane the dealership had received the car in may 2023 (when they had it certified pre owned) on our way home from buying the car we noticed a panel above the drivers feet had fallen and was missing two screws to hold it in place and we noticed a pop up on the screen saying that the battery was partially charged, so I called the dealership and I spoke to ******* the sales person that helped us and let him know about the concerns we had with the car. He told us to take it to the nearest dealership from us, which is about an hour away, and they should take care of it, so we took the car to *************************** and they told us that we shouldnt be having any problems with the battery and the panel above the drivers feet falling off if the car was certified preowned so I called Spokane to let them know and asked if they could cover the battery and they told us no that I would have to pay for the battery and I explained to them that the service advisor at *************************** told us that they cant certify preowned a car with those problems the car had and ******* if the car was certified preowned in November when we bought it and he told me yes and when I asked if they can email proof that the car was certified again in November when I purchased it, they sent me one from May 2023 when they had originally certified it so my car was certified six months before I bought it they sold it to me as a certified preowned car with a panel falling on the drivers feet and a battery that isnt a certified preowned (working) condition.
