      Would give 0* rating if I could. I took my son there for an exam to get a new glasses and contacts prescription and we were there for over 2 hours. We were advised that the actual appointment with doctor would be virtual, but would only take one hour. The technician was very nice, but clearly had no idea how to preform the tests/screens or connect to the doctor virtually. Long story short...we were told that my son likely had glaucoma. He is 16 with NO family history on either side of glaucoma! Important to note that my son received 6 puffs in each eye for the pressure test!? We were also told that my son had developed an astigmatism and that his contact lens prescription went from ***** and ***** to -.75 in both eyes. When I questioned the doctor how his vision would have improved, he told me that is not what that means. We took my son to a different eye doctor (not through Shopko Optical) 3 days later and found that he did not have high pressure in either eye. He did not have an astigmatism in either eye. His contact lens prescription actually got a little worse and is now ***** in each eye.

      I had an eye exam at your location in ****************, ** in December of last year. i was unable to decide at the time what i wanted so i took the copy of my prescription to the ********** location and ordered a pair of glasses. When they were ready i had someone else pick them up for me. Upon trying them on, i could not see clearly out of them. i called (dont remember which location) and was told because the change in my prescription i wouldnt be able to see close up. I never had a problem seeing with my old prescription other than small print, but i was able to see my phone and computer. I was told all they could do was offer me another pair for half off within 30 days.I was never offered a new check up or a refund. I tried them many times and i just couldnt see so i continued to wear my old ones, even though they are very scratched up.i went in to the marshfield location last week because im having problems with blurriness and had another exam because my insurance would cover an exam (new year). I was told that my new prescription is wrong and my old presription is more accurate.I could order a new pair with the correct presciption. My insurance will not cover a new pair until January and it was their error, not mine. I paid $460.00 for these. I cannot afford a new pair.I am very upset. I think a new pair with the correct vision without charge should have been offered.Also I was told my close up vision had changed and was given my new prescription so i stopped and picked up a pair of readers with the updated presciption and they are totally blurry. I cannot see out of them at all!

      Got my "new glasses" a week after a TWO HOUR vist there. The NEW RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE glasses (never padi this much for any basic glasses and frames before, ever) : there is nothing for a presciption in the lenses-simple plastic like a blank off the shelf. DOES NOTHING formy sight. I work long hours and am expected to go in to return them and spend hours waiting in line again for nothing. Wasting my time when I also have a business to run after my work day.

      Bad experience! Poor customer service! I had my eye exam June 4th and at that time I ordered frames and lenses. I was told that it would take two weeks for my glasses to be in. On July 26th, three weeks without hearing from Shopko Optical, I called to check on the status of my glasses and was told that they were not done yet and they were having problems with the application of the coating. I was told that it would be a week longer. Again, after two weeks, this would be July 8th, and not hearing from Shopko Optical, I called again and was told that they were finally being shipped and would arrive on July 10th. At this time, it was already three weeks past the original due date. On the 10th they finally called me to tell me my glasses had arrived, so I went to pick them up after work. They handed me my glasses and when I put them on, I could instantly tell that something was not right. I could not even read the signs that were on the desk in front of me. The attendant took them in back and after several minutes a technician came out to where I was sitting and went through several tests with me. She determined that the prescription and pupal positions were not correct and that they would have to be re-done. I was told that the updated glasses were going to be expedited and should only take a week. On July 24th I was notified that the glasses were done which I picked up two days later. They were correct this time. Total time waiting six weeks!I only received a 20% discount off the glasses, not the total bill. I also had to ask the attendant for a case for my glasses since I was not offered one. One last note - each time I went in the attendant was on his phone and gave me the impression that he was annoyed by having to put his phone down and attend to me.

      I recently visited Shopko Optical for a routine eye exam during this initial exam I was offered a more detailed scanning of my eyes for additional $39.00. I agreed to this service, what I did not agree to was the additional visits I had to make because Shopko Optical could not fill out their paperwork properly. For example after the initial exam I should have only had to return to pick up my classes. Instead I get harassed two days in a roll because they had forgotten to charge me the additional $39.00 for the exam and that I needed to return to fix this although I was due to return to pick up my glasses by which I would have fixed their problem. Although I thought it was weird I complied . A little while later I received bill from Care Credit that was inaccurate because I had requested deferred billing and Shopko assured me that they understood of which they did not due to the fact, that Care Credit sent a bill requesting the full amount. Thus, I was forced to return for a fourth time due to their incompetence to fixed this billing. To make matters worse they argued with me when I requested that they credit my account and reissue the proper billing. Eventually they did as I requested, but I received no apology or remuneration for wasting my time and energy for dealing with something that should have been 2 visits instead of four.

      My husband went to pick up his glasses and was asked if he brought his frames. Um, no... we ordered frames WITH the glasses!!! No one bothered to check before they called us that they were in. They went straight to the wall and pulled the pair that had been tried on by a ton of other people and placed them in there. Never bothered to ask us if a used frame was ok or compensate for them being used. Gave us a generic case and bag and sent us on our way. This store has super poor customer service and abilities to communicate and follow through. Was called by corporate after voicing a complaint and they refused to make it right. Would highly steer clear of this company!

      My husband has had eye glasses ordered one and one half months ago. As we continue to call to find out what is going on. Same old excuse "no they are not in" these glasses are paid for so what is going on. X amount of business days. How many business days do you need????? Who do I contact as there is no one in corporate we can find anything from? All these years we have been going to Shopko Optical and we cannot find the answers. ***************

      First of all I want to say staff was nice to start with, but that is the only thing going for them. I was looking for a new optometrist for a standard exam at a reasonable price. I do not judge my doctors by age but in this case maybe I should have, because firstly she asked do I have any complaints and I responded no just a little fuzzy. New place I dont know what to expect she silently keeps running tests on me and I assume its all normal. She never said a word sends me out with my prescription to check out get to the check out and all of the sudden Im charged for a medical exam I did not consent to or agree with. While I did get that exam reversed it all sat very badly with me. I see a neurologist ophthalmologist every 3 months and I brought in the paper work for him to see. He explains to me they were giving me a hokey diagnosis that is not respected amoung ophthalmologists. He proceeded to give my eyes an exam and said there was nothing wrong since I was not experiencing double vision I should have never been diagnosed with that code or had prisms added to my glasses. Now I already ordered glasses with prims and need a new pair out of my pocket. This company is full of either scammers or under educated people. I took a second exam out of my pocket and they agreed with my neurologist.

      Bought my daughter two pairs for glasses because it was buy one get 1/2 off. Not even 6 month in and the bow is flopping all over. Im so disappointed and angry that they dont have a year guarantee in case of manufacture defect. I thought the protection plan was for the 2 year of owning them. I spent $800 plus on two pairs and they at the store said its from normal wear and tear. I say no way. Shes 19 and is always very careful with her glasses. I dont see why they cant send them in to have them looked at by the company so they can determine if its normal wear and tear or a manufacturer defect. They are not in a position to say one way or another. The manufacture of the frames is.
