I had an my car checked about three weeks ago on why it wouldnt start and come to find out the fuel I had got from Kwik star on Christmas Eve has caused my engine to flood and it also flooded the spark plugs and they had contacted me today refusing to pay for it to be done because they are claiming it is not there fault because no one else had an issue that day . They are also trying to claim that it could not be the fuel that is the issue when the mechanic clearly told me it was so I would like them to pay for it to be done and treat there customers better than they do when talking to them. Especially when you talk to me like I am an idiot because I am a female and you think I dont know what I am talking about which was very rude

We have informed the guest we are unable to honor her claim with the information available to us.

We have sold almost **** gallons of the type of fuel purchased, with no other customer concerns.  Store **************** has confirmed no known issues and no water in tanks.

Also, per the shop,  this was a wet spark plug issue with fuel.  The type of scenario has  many reasons that this could happen.

The information provided was not a repair ****, but an estimate, with the diagnosis being part of the estimate.   It should also be noted that we have confirmation from the shop that the last sentence of the Fuel Form (Mechanic)was NOT written by the mechanic. The writing of the last sentence has characteristics of the form written by the guest

Our Rep had told the customer if there is additional information for us to re-review, we would be happy to.

      Timeline:
      12-23 bought the fuel
12-27  vehicle to shop (per shop)
12-27 Guest submitted the BBB complaint  (per BBB letter 1/10/2022)
      12-28 reported loss to KT
12-30 date on estimate, and also date forms signed by guest and mechanic
** per the shop, the vehicle is unrepaired still sitting at the shop

My credit bureau is still showing an active collection account with Kwik Trip. The account has been paid off for years now, but for whatever reason they will not show the account being paid in full with a zero balance and the account showing it is no longer an active collection account. I have attempted numerous times to work with the credit department at the company, but was told that is how it must be reported. I have had situations like this from other credit companies, but after the past due, or collection amount was paid in full, it was removed from my credit bureaus without fail. I am just asking for the account to be removed, or at least for it to show the information coded correctly and show it is paid in full, and most importantly that the account is no longer an active collection account.

Kwik Trip changed this to a #** Paid Collection credit type in Sept. 2018 once we received the payment file from ******************.  Our Rep spoke with ************ on 7/6/21 and at that time he stated the accounting was showing as a paid collection on his credit report.  Our Rep provided him with ******************'s phone number so he could confirm with them that they also showed this as a paid collection.

************ called again on 1/6/22 and we confirmed that on our end it is marked as a #** paid collection.  Our Rep also emailed ****************** to make sure they had reported it as paid.

An AUD was entered to ensure the proper reporting is reflected.  ****************** confirmed last week that they did the same on their end.

      This should resolve **************** issue.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear

According to the credit report from Experian, the balanced owed on the account is showing blank, and not 0 owed like the rest of other collection accounts listed on my credit bureau. I do not understand why Kwik Trip is the only company that is saying I have a zero balance, but still shows I have an active (open) collection account.  This account should be marked, or changed to paid and closed out on my report.

      Regards,

      *******************

      Business response

      01/26/2022

Kwik Trip does not report balances to Experian.  Therefore, it is determined that this reporting was initiated from ****************** (the collection agency Kwik Trip retained).  Kwik Trip reached out to ****************** and advised them of the complaint.  The collection agency has reached out to multiple contacts at Experian to attempt to research the dispute. The collection agency has now submitted an AUD to attempt to correct the reporting.

Further complaints by ************ should be directed toward Experian as that is where the reporting discrepancy is managed.  Experian will work with the data furnisher and ************ to determine any inaccuracies.

I would like to request more time to put together a response.  We are still investigating this matter.  We are trying to reach the body shop.   Also, we have not been able to get the whole invoice, as it was only partially given to us by the guest.   We need the date it went to  the shop, after the fueling date.

      Thank you.
