I have never dealt with such a lack of professionalism. They are contracted through my appliance insurance and were assigned to me to replace my furnace. After my insurance coverage I had an out of pocket cost, this wasn’t a problem I agreed to this amount. When their technician Alex ******** finished installing my furnace I asked him, do I pay you now or do I pay someone later. He looked into his service notes and saw 2 different amounts, he was unsure which one was correct and tried to contact the office to figure it out. Nobody answered and HE told me he didn’t want to deal with it, that he was “trying to get out of here” he told me someone will contact me for payment. A short time after I had a missed call from Briana ***** their “customer service rep” she left a voicemail saying you “you agreed to these out of pocket costs I don’t know why you decided not to pay” and then texted me immediately following saying they’re going to call the sheriffs department and rip out the furnace if I don’t pay in 5 days. This came as big surprise to me considering I never tried to deny payment, I am the one who brought it up to their technician asking how I pay. Their lack of communication within their own company and lack of customer service skills resulted in me being disrespected and threatened when I did nothing wrong. Then I was told to contact them today because they want to “work it out with me and appreciate my business” when I called I spoke to Katie who never even acknowledged any of what just happened couldn’t even provide an apology for the threats and disrespect that was caused by their own error. At this point I just wanted to be done with it, I made my payment, said nothing, and now I’m giving them the reviews they deserve. On top of all of this they didn’t even do a good job with their installation I can see light shining in from outside from my basement and the pipes are loose and held in place by zip ties. My experience with this company was a disaster.Review from Stephen S

Look Elsewhere!!!! I've had this company out numerous times to fix an air conditioner that freezes up. They had 3 different technicians look at it and ended up telling me it was because of a dirty air filter and not due to low coolant. I changed the air filter, and the system still froze up. I had another company look at it, and they said the system was low on refrigerant! You are correct we did have to make a few visits to your home as directed through your home warranty cpmpany Choice Home Warranty. With these home warranties we can only perform the services approved by your home warranty comapny. On 7/21/22 the first call tech found the furnace filters completly blocked which can cause the ac unit to ice up. That was due to lack of maintenance. That sadi he also noted the freon was a little low., which since the unit was over 16 yrs old and used R22 freon we need to get authorization from Choice Home Warranty, your providor. 8/1/22 aftet the freon was approved by Choice we returned to install that. On that service call we did detect the coil pad to be cracked, which was likley do to the ice build up on the coil when the unit froze over. That said, we did submit on your behalf to Choice ********************* a coil replacement and or the coil pad. On 8/3/22 Choice Home Warranty DENIED the repair. Therefore on 8/10/22 after the deneil the owner of the company contacted you with solutions and to try to explain the challangers whith your home warranty company and that our hands are tied on what these home warranty companies cover. We did our best based on the terms and conditions of your home warranty company.Review from Steve C

Establish a new annual service agreement with Rosenthal Heating & Air Conditioning. Very happy thus far. Office staff has been a pleasure to work with and technicians have been great too. Was a pleasure working with Technician Chris today to fix our heating issue.

DONT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Rosenthal and Cooling to replace a furnace through American home Shield. They installed the furnace but left a bracket on system that should have been removed in install. Mistakes happen and I get it. But when My husband contacted Rosenthal they said that we have to request another service call to the tune of another $100 deductable. There's nothing wrong with the furnace we just needed bracket removed. The technician just forgot to remove it. My husband is 63 and disabled from an accident, but he is capable enough to know when he's being ripped off. Don't get me started about the heat situation before the install. I am 59 and suffer from a terminal illness. New furnace kept shutting down. It was during the deep freeze this past winter. I explained what was going on with the new furnace. That it keeps shutting down. Do you think they would qualify that as an emergency, no I waited days for heat B4 they put us on schedule. The owner of Rosenthal got my husband so worked up on the phone he used some profanity because we have been going thru **** with the installation. The company is rude, totally unprofessional. That's all Rosenthal does is blame American Home Shield, but it's his tech that left the bracket in, so now I deal with a loud boom every night from the furnace that is right below my bedroom. So now I get to lie in my bed sick as I am and listen to a boom everytime furnace kicks in. I feel like because we are seniors we are taken advantage of. Well I'm tired of being taken advantage of. I don't ever think I reviewed a company on BBB, but Rosenthal has just put me over the top. My husband has suffered 3 strokes and when he got off the phone, his left hand was shaking sooo bad I thought he was having another. The owner of Rosenthal had a death in his family which I am sorry for his loss, but I feel the owner of Rosenthal took some of his emotions out on my husband during the last phone call. This customer has a home warranty with American Home Shield. They supplied the furnace and Rosenthal ******************************** installed it. All warranties are though American Home Shield. The terms of the contract they signed with the *** are very clear, if service is needed the policy holder must file a claim with American Home Shield. The contract they signed with *** requires them to pay a trade call fee when they need service. Not a Rosenthal ******************************** policy it's what the customer agrees to when they sign up for any type of home warranty. This information was conveyed to the customer several times and they took out their frustration on the Rosenthal ******************************** ***, who took the call, yelling and demanding they talk to the owner. The conversation was recorded and was listened to for quality assurance purposes. The *** was beat up pretty good and the owner took an ear full as well. At no time was profanity used by the *** or owner of the company. This service complaint is purely based on a homeowner who does not understand the terms and conditions of the contract they signed with American Home Sheild. We empathize they suffer from health issues but Rosenthal ******************************** still have to follow the terms and conditions of American Home Shield. These plans are good but when you sign up you have to agree to their terms and understand how the process works.Review from Charles S

Rosenthal Heating & Air Conditioning was assigned by American Home Shield to resolve our heating problem. They came out and identified the problem and ordered the parts. A short time later the parts came in and they replaced igniter fan on a Saturday! The Tech was knowledgeable and in no time we had heat! There were additional problems with our system that was diagnosed and the common parts replaced. After I found my humidifier had fallen off of my furnace I called Rosenthal heating and air conditioning, Chris came out the very next day and resolved the issue very quickly for me. He was very kind, considerate and knowledgeable and completed the job in good time. Very professional. I recommend their services for all of your furnace repairs.

If I could leave zero stars I would - my home has been out of heat for almost 2 months, starting back on October 29th, waiting on this company to get there stuff together and come finish the job. Only to have the gas company come to my house to tell me that they had left the gas on running to the non worker furnace which was part of the reason we could smell gas through out my house. Today a different company came to look at what all needed to be fixed. was able to inform us that a piece that had previously "been fixed" by this company was jammed into the machine and part of the reason it wasn't working now. the company that arrived today will be installing my new furnace TOMORROW - but Rosenthal was telling me it was going to be another few days to a week. take your money and business elsewhere.Rosenthal Heating & Air Conditioning Response

After reviewing your review and then the notes regarding your service request with American Home Shield your statement does not add up. 1. our first visit was 11/4/21, the parts were approved on 11/4/21 and supplied by American Home Shield. Parts. 11/13/21 parts received and appointment set for part install. When new part was installed tech found another issue and contacted American Home Shield, they approved a new furnace which they approved on 12/2/21. Received furnace from American Home Shield on 12/8/22 and set install date for 12/9/22, customer was also informed there was an out of pocket cost due to non covered charges based on the terms and conditions of American Home Shield contract of $1198. We arrived on 12/9 to install furnace and person at the home did not have the non-covered funds for the installation. Homeowner said they did not know of any non covered costs, but that is not true because American Home Shield will not release equipment until all charges are approved by the installing contractor and policy holder. therefore the job was stopped. 12/16/21 job was cancelled by American Home Shield.
