Buyatab is the gift card provider for *******. I was issued a $99 ******* refund in the form of an online gift card to my email on Aug 22, 2024. When I went to the store on Aug 30, there was only 0.27 cents on the card. The email I received when the gift card was issued to me says to contact Buyatab for additional questions regarding the gift card. When I contact them, they tell me they don't have this gift card in their system and to follow up with *******. When I try to follow up with *******, I am told that ******* has successfully refunded the full amount to the gift card and that I need to contact Buyatab. Neither company is taking responsibility for the fact that this gift card was compromised and an unauthorized transaction took place. I did not make this transaction, I did not give or share this gift card info with anyone else and my email was not hacked. Yet, I am the one who is out near $99.I have a transaction history receipt that clearly shows the activation date and time (Aug 23 at 0145) that does not correspond with the date I received this gift card (Aug 22 at 1945 ). Why is there a discrepancy in the issue date and time? There is clearly something wrong with this gift card. Perhaps it was issued to multiple people or maybe it is just a faulty card.I would like Buyatab to take accountability for this unauthorized transaction on this defective gift card which denied me the full $99 refund I am entitled to. Please note that although Buyatab is listed as a contact on the gift card, this card was issued directly by *******. The contact information listed on your ecard is typically to support inquires such as balance checks. Buyatab does not have a record of this particular gift card number in our system, and as such, we are unable to provide a replacement or assist with issues related to this card on behalf of ********

I am rejecting this response because: this doesn't provide a resolution. This is exactly the same response that ******* customer service have given me. ******* says I need to contact your company. This is just a convenient runaround for Buyatab and *******. In the end, I am the faultless customer who is suffering the loss.

I had a ******* gift card with a balance of $862.9 and one day when I tried to use it all money are gone.I contacted the customer service and the case number is **********. The staff keeps saying that they are not response for the gift card as it was not purchased from their website. But in the gift card content, it lists this company's phone number and email for address any issues.I want my money back.Business response

Thank you for your response. We have contacted the merchant's head office and they have advised that the gift card account was closed due to Returns Abuse.

I purchased a Lowes gift card online from them and it was never activated. When we went to use it at *****, the gift card had no balance. When I called the company, they said the gift card was already used. We never used the gift card.Business response

I ordered a $100 ******* gift card just before Xmas. After my brothers wife tried to use the card 2 separate dates, I said Id work out the problem and use it. Over the last 2 months I have been trying to get the card to work and last night when I was finally able to input the card and PIN $50 showed as the card balance - not $100 that I paid for. When I tried to use that $50 an error message came up and surprise surprise there was an error. Today I was told the card had been used twice on April 5th for $25 each transaction and $50 yesterday. I know the first 2 transactions never happened as my brothers wife went to customer service who verified the card was active and with a balance so she went shopping. When she got to the counter in again didnt work. So, from validating the card at customer service to trying to pay for her groceries, the card did not work. These people need to be shut down. Their website and anything to do with buyatab. Going to see if my credit card will do anything for me, but otherwise looks like Im out $100Initial Complaint

This complaint regards buyatab connected to ***. I’m furious given I have not heard back with a resolution after creating multiple tickets and complaining over the phone to multiple agents unwilling/unable to resolve the issue regarding the purchase of gift cards during their cyber Monday (2023) promotion. After purchasing a few promotional gift cards (Spend a minimum of 50$ to receive 20% back in a promotional gift card) through buyatab during ***’s Cyber Monday promotion that extended during the week, I was no longer able to do so. I lost out on multiple promotional *** gift cards and no one, not *** nor buyatab was willing to rectify the issue. After initially contacting ***, I was told it was a buyatab issue so I contacted buyatab on multiple occasions and provided multiple “tickets” concerning the issue and promised on my last call that I would hear back from a supervisor within 48hrs. I have yet to hear from anyone or provided some sort of resolution to the prejudice I suffered. The business was contacted on multiple occasions and first ticket was created on November 30th, 2023 ticket number ********* Last agent I spoke to with a promise to be contacted was on December 28th, 2023 ticket number *********Business response

I am rejecting this response because: Why would the purchases be flagged? All other purchases prior were accepted and have been accepted by all companies including *** Secondly, why wasn’t I contacted as promised by last agent I spoke to and only contacted once a complaint through the better business bureau was made? Be strongly advised, if no other resolution is met, I will ensure my complaint falls in the right hands to hold buyatab not only accountable by falsely claiming a “flagged” credit card but additionally causing prejudice in doing so!

My sister was going to stay at a *********** in ****** ** so I went online to buy her a gift card to use during her stay. Buyatab presents themselves as ***** and looks like a legitimate ***** website. I purchased a $50 ***** gift card. I was also charged a $8 processing/shipping charge. The gift card came and looks legit but when my sister went to use it, it was denied. I have contacted the Buyatab company after I realized the gift card wasnt from ***** and they wont issue a refund. This company should not be in business.Business response

I uncovered a $150.00 gift card that was given to me as a Christmas gift - I contacted buyatab customer service and they requested that I email a request to have the email address changed from the buyer to myself - I did that and have followed up several times. I phoned in and was on hold for 19 minutes then was disconnected - it appears they have no intention of honoring the gift card.Business response

I ordered 2 physical gift cards from ************** card official website via buyatab,com on November 24th during their promotion which is 50% off.
