We received your information from leads that we purchased from *********** as someone who is shopping for a mortgage. Many of our customers appreciate that we reach out to them as many times we can offer them a better deal. My wife and I were contacted by E Mortgage to refinance our home. Stated not interested, but eventually we decided to go for it. Offered a lower house pmt by nearly ****** a month. Had to get appraisal and charged ****** on credit card but were told would not withdraw money and would be removed when we closed. Instead they withdrew the money and never let us know about appraisal results. They wont return calls or text or email us. Left many messages and now mailbox is full. We want out of this mess and would like our money back but mainly they need reported as a scam company with lying employees.OBusiness response

My wife and I never authorized ****** ******* to run a hard credit inquiry on our credit. We received several alerts on 9/18/24 that hard credit inquiries were pulled in all 3 credit bureaus for the both of us. Loan agent ****** ******* denies the hard credit ******* wife and I only agreed to a soft credit pull. We never agreed to anything else. We have also been unsuccessful with getting this issue resolved with ****** ******* from e mortgage capital.We need these hard inquiries removed from all 3 credit bureaus.Business response

We have documentation that you authorized a soft pull. We have no motivation to pull a hard inquiry. Identities have not been compromised. We have provided a truthful answer as to the mistake and to correct the mistake we have contacted the credit bureaus and notified them of the mistake and have asked them to remove the inquiry.Initial Complaint

We actually purchased your information from *********** as someone shopping for a mortgage. Many of our customers appreciate that we reach out to them as we are often able to offer a better deal. In the earlier text messages sent you should be able to reply STOP and it removes you from the messaging. Regardless I have added you our internal do not call list.Customer response

receiving text messages from this place. I have NOT searched for a mortgage, have NEVER contacted this company or this person. My cell phone number is supposed to be private and I have signed up for national DO NOT CONTACT. This company and this person are incredibly unscrupulous. And they have violated my personal and private information. As a Veteran, I am going to contact all ******************** (***, ***************, *****************************, etc.) to ensure they know of the incredibly unscrupulous tactics this company employs and how they violate personal information.Business response

First off let me say thank you for your service. We at EMC love our Veterans and many of them have given us 5 star reviews at the BBB. We purchased your information from *********** as someone interested in a mortgage. Apparently, according to your statement they should not have sold us your information if you have no interest in a mortgage. I see you stated you added yourself to the Do Not Call registry and I have also added your to our internal Do Not Call as well as it takes the federal system up to 90 days for it to be in the system.Customer response

I have been receiving non stop calls and text messages from this company and have repeatedly told them to stop contacting me. I didn't sign up for this and I get phone calls day in and day out that i continually have to block because I didn't ask for any assistance from them.Business response

Another problem we encounter is that several other companies besides us also purchase the information and more than one other company out there has a similar name to ours. I received a text message from this company by a man named *****************************. He is soliciting business from me that I did not request. He had my address, name and loan amounts shown on a refinance doc. Ive never done business with this company or person. Why does he think its okay to take my information and text me with a solicitation? This is a bad business practice. I dont know if its legal or not but Im sure no one like to see their private information in an unsolicited ad thrown at them.Business response

i hard a hard credit enquiry with a bank as i was shopping for a mortagage loan. These company i never shared my details got the details and calling me, texting me from different numbers for 2 weeks. More than 40 such interactions. They are not following any califronia consumer privacy laws. They still called me and messaged me, after i am told them not to do so.Business response

We work very hard to do right by our customers. We received the information from trans union that you were shopping for a loan and many of our customers appreciate that because often we are able to offer a better deal. Also, we are not the only mortgage company buying this information from trans union so I am not surprised by the number of calls that were received. Additionally, there are a couple other companies with E Mortgage in their name but as for our company I am adding you to our do not call list.Customer response

Harassment to go with a loan from them when I have told them numerous times to leave me alone I dont want it. One of their people named ******************* ***** Senior loan ******** **** number 204-1400 Will not take no for an answer. *** tried blocking his number and everything and he will not give up and Im tired of it. There is no reason for this and or Equifax to be selling out our information to anybody.Business response
