The check engine light came on in my 2017 *** X6, the car was under warranty. I brought the vehicle into Braman BMW in Miami, they advised me that the computer cluster on the vehicle was shorted out due to a previous accident and that since it was due to an accident was not covered under warranty. The vehicle was never in an accident. The cost of labor and parts was $5043.43. Recently the computer cluster replaced by Braman in 2020 has been malfunctioning, I took the vehicle to another *** service company and they advised me that the cluster was malfunctioning and they advised me that since it was recently replaced and still covered under warranty that I should take it back to Braman. I reluctantly took it back to Braman BMW and they charged me for $369.15 for a diagnosis. Braman BMW advised me that the cluster is working fine, I requested to view or provide me a copy of the diagnosis that they were charging for and they stated that it was "confidential" and refused to provide a copy or to view the diagnosis in which I was charged for and that for me to get back the vehicle I had to pay for the diagnosis. To make things worse they advised me that some repairs were needed to the vehicle in which parts were $340 and labor was $2520. I asked them for a breakdown and they refused to provide me anything as to a breakdown. The repairs were for a loose door panel and a differential seal. There is no leak at the differential. After some research it was determined that the loose door panel needed 11 new plastic clips which cost $11.00 and a differential seal is $107.76. The total estimated time (labor from another source) was 2 hours. Braman is charging $2520 in labor at $350 an hour (provided verbally from Braman). Looks to be approximately 7.2 hours at $350 an hour. Don't have exact numbers since no breakdown is being provided by Braman.Do not take your vehicle in Braman for service unless you want to pay $350 an hour and be overbilled in hours

We are advised that the customer authorized the dealership to perform the diagnosis and was provided with an estimate for the work that was recommended on his vehicle.

In September I purchased a Certified Preowned BMW **0ix from their West Palm Beach location. In January I got a flat tire and took it to the nearest BMW dealer in Delray for a new tire. They told me I needed all new brakes which shocked me as I had paid over **K, top dollar for a certified car. I made an appointment at the Braman dealer in WPB and they told me I did need brakes and also a new wheel, tire and another wheel repaired. I was furious as it was thousands of dollars and the point of a certified car is to jot have these issues as they are thoroughly inspected and refurbished. I then took it to a third dealer, BMW in Pompano. They in fact agreed I needed all the brakes changed and they were in terrible shape, down to metal. They also told me I was lied to about needing the other services. I did also need rotors and sensors. At first they thought I purchased it there and they said they would do it for free. When they realized I did not they agreed to discount the work and were appalled that a certified car purchased a few moths ago would have all these issues. I was told it should NEVER have passed certification and they gave me the BMW corporate number to report the dealer for certifying a car that was sub standard. I tried to get Braman to stand behind the car but instead the manager never called me back and the service manager verbally assaulted me as witnessed by my son. I had no choice but to have the unsafe situation rectified at the Pompano dealer. It cost me $******* with a discount. I am asking Braman to reimburse me that amount as it was their incompetency in their certification process that lead to this situation.

We are advised that, at the time the customer purchased the pre-owned vehicle, it did not need brakes and tires.  All of the items that the customer is complaining about are maintenance items that wear out over time and mileage.  The customer took delivery of his vehicle 5 months ago and has driven the car almost 10,000 miles.  It is not unusual for a vehicle to require maintenance after this much use.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because I was told by two other dealers that you did not certified the car properly. I was also lied to about wheels being bent and eating replacing. I am filing a lawsuit in court.

      Sincerely,

Over the internet, I purchased a 2016 BMW 750I from Braman BMW West Palm Beach ( Jamal Alsafeer was the salesman ). When the car got delivered to me on Saturday the 5th I notice in front of the car - a "clanking" noise ( that would come and go ) when I was driving home from the drop point. I hoped/thought the car needed to adjust to the 15 degree weather here in Cleveland Ohio since this car came from Florida. On the way home - warning messages appeared about "drivetrain malfunction and idrive failure". These messages also say the car was good to drive so I continued home and parked my "new" car in the garage. On Sunday, I drove the car and at low speeds the sounds came back but at high speeds they stopped and there were no further messages. The same warning messages came on - so Sunday night, I parked and kept the car in the garage until Wednesday (9th) when I dropped it off at the local BMW Dealer for inspection. On Thursday the BMW dealership called and informed me that the front drivetrain and bearings needed replaced along with an wheel alignment! Over $***** of repairs. Here is the video of vehicle walkaround: ( www.mkvwa11.com/p/MRXAOh.html ). I contacted the salesman and am playing "phone" tag with the managers - with no adequate response I am filing this BBB compliant in the hopes of receiving some "kind" of reimbursement but also to let others no about this dealership complete lack of responsibility. **** ******
