    Pattern of Complaint:

According to information in BBB files, Networx Systems, Inc. has a pattern of complaint alleging Refund/Exchange, Service, and Repair Issues.

Specifically, consumers report purchasing leads from Networx Systems Inc. for a specific fee. However, some leads turn out to be invalid or fake. Additionally, some consumers claim they are billed for leads related to services they do not offer. There are also complaints about consumers’ information being shared with other companies without their consent.

On October 14, 2024, BBB sent correspondence to Networx Systems, Inc. to request their cooperation in eliminating the pattern of complaint.

On October 24, 2024, BBB met with Networx Systems, Inc. to request their assistance in eliminating the pattern of complaint. Networx Systems, Inc. has supplied BBB with the following information as a means to eliminate the pattern:

We believe it is important for our customer's satisfaction and experience that we always work to address the feedback obtained through our relationship with the BBB. These are some of the steps our business is currently taking to reduce consumer complaints.

We are auditing active campaigns to ensure the work requests generated meet a high standard. We will continue to do this by identifying the specific marketing sources that can lead to invalid work requests and either suspending or ending those campaigns until the referrals meet the appropriate quality standards.

In the home improvement industry, it is common for some businesses to specialize or prefer specific tasks within a larger job category. Sometimes, a lead credit request may be denied if a customer added the category on their own or agreed to that category at the initial signup. We understand this can be frustrating; therefore, Networx allows our agents to remove these tasks if we receive a request from a customer to do so or notice a customer requesting credit for a specific task they do not do. More recently, we put a process in place to remove tasks for customers proactively when there is an indication that they don't perform a specific type of work. We will work to expand this effort and implement additional means to ensure customers are comfortable with the kind of leads they will receive from their selected categories.

The Internet plays a large part in how the Home Improvement and Contractor referral industry works. Networx has and will continue to adhere to any regulatory and compliance standards. We will continue to ensure any partners, partner sites, or affiliates are compliant so that it is clear where and how consumer information is being used to fulfill all requests submitted on our platform.

This aspect of the Business Profile will be updated once additional information becomes available.

I hired a contractor based on Networx provided information. When issues arose with the contractor not completing the job he was pre-paid for I attempted to search him by his company name and license number provided by ********************** at ******************** I found the number was not valid nor was the company name found. I have been duped, am out $650 for a job he quoted and only completed 1/4 of.Networx is putting false information out there and at the expense of consumers. I tried to email them and my email was returned as the email address was invalid. I feel foolish for being taken advantage of and want to make sure no more 70 year old women are cheated like this. Networx needs to verify the information they are getting from the contractors before releasing it to the consumers. I thought they were verified and they turned out to be scammers.

We are sorry to hear about this experience. Our team is familiar with this situation and has tried to resolve this concern with the repair contractor. Networx is not a home improvement company, but we do help connect homeowners with local contractors over the Internet. All professionals within our network must maintain all necessary licensing in their respective trade and state. We were able to help mediate the situation and asked the contractor to address any of the homeowner's remaining requests. As of 11/5/24, the contractor has provided proof that he completed the repair correctly.

I am rejecting this response because:

He did not complete the work he promised for the price of the quote, so no he did not fulfill the agreement. This company is not licensed in the state of ******* according to the Florida BBB and should not have been referred as a local pro by Networx to an address in **. .  When I searched the BBB I found no listing for this company at all  I had no way to contact Networx because their contact links do not work, there is no phone number provided and also the given contract # of First Response Hauling is invalid and their website is unreachable due to incorrect address

He did remove the deck but left the mess behind telling me his landscaper would be here Thursday to finish the job.  No landscaper showed up and he has not responded to my text messages requesting to know when he would finish the job  I was promised the completed job in a day which was supposed to be Wednesday.  My yard is still a mess and I have put a stop payment on the check he took for $400.  I also paid him a $50 deposit and $200 cash, which is about correct for the little work he did do  he was only here for 2hours of which ***** minutes was spent on the phone.  For that reason I stopped payment on the $400 check .   I am also in touch with the Florida Attorney General regarding this matter.  Senior citizens shouldnt have to be targets of bad actors out to scam us and I am doing what I can to stop it

      Sincerely,

      ******* *******

It appears there may be a significant understanding. The claims listed in the rejection response are concerning for a few reasons. All communication related to this project is in reference to a mailbox repair in ********, *******. The phone number provided by the consumer is (404) ******** which is an area code in the ******************** area. Considering the scope of the work requested by the consumer ("Replace broken mailbox pole and box") and numerous written communication between the consumer and our support team , we are confident this was intended for another business and ask that the BBB close out the complaint after receiving this response.

This company is the biggest thief, fraud, scam in the world DO NOT SIGN UP!They will steal your money for "leads" that you will never get and no one will ever answer the phone or talk to you not once, not twice but every time.IF YOU WANT TO BURN MONEY GO WITH THEM!

      Business response

      11/07/2024

It's unfortunate to hear this feedback. Your frustration with some leads being challenging to contact is valid. Unfortunately, this happens occasionally but is not uncommon as this can be a competitive industry. Some leads you received were shared with up to three other professionals, some of them being long-term customers of **********************. These customers have not reported the same concerns. Therefore, it is possible that another company was able to satisfy the homeowner's request. We issued a full refund to the original payment method on 11/5/24. We hope this is satisfactory and addresses any remaining concerns you may have had.

I was able to speak with ONLY 2 "Real" People who wanted home window service OUT OF 42 "leads" provided by Networx. Of 42 total leads - 40 ARE "FAKE" leads. FAKE Leads = fake phone numbers, fake emails, ************ requests, renters, just ********* another complainant wrote - you will have better luck asking random people on the street if they need your product or service,In the end, they even screwed me out of $300 I was owed for lead report credits... UNETHICAL!!RUN (don't walk) from this company. If you don't take heed, you will be less wealthy after Networx.

      Business response

      10/31/2024

Your frustration is entirely understandable, and we're sorry this was your experience. Receiving such a high number of leads like this is unusual. In full transparency, you were credited with 24 of the 42 leads delivered between 5/14/24 and 10/17/24. Unfortunately, we see spikes in lead quality within the Windows Installation category, and it appears this was the case with many of the leads you received. Networx has a comprehensive credit policy to ensure customers only pay for viable leads. However, we know reporting more leads than normal is frustrating, even when you receive credit for them. As requested, we refunded the $91.00 lead you received on 10/17/24 to your credit card. In total, you have been refunded $798.00. In advertising, there are things we cannot control, but we are committed to doing the right thing for our customers and, at this time, believe we have done that.

I signed up to receive leads from Networx at a cost per lead system but when some of them leads were not legitimate leads where you can actually contact a person or the person you can says they been had the work done or didnt request work that is the problem. I had multiple leads where one of them issues was the case. I reported the bad lead to them and no over a month one lead they havent refunded my money even though they have been unsuccessful of reaching that person. Another lead I just got was for a bathroom with a phone number that is registered to a condo association or something in Township ********** and when you call it it just rings, it never goes to any voicemail. That is clearly a bad lead and even the email with that one is a work email and I emailed the person and he never responded. So even if he out his work email in there by mistake, he wouldve saw and responded to the email I sent with the subject being bathroom remodel. This company seems to be getting scammers and is doing nothing about it and charging customers even though we can prove that the leads are not legit. If I call a customer and get a voicemail and never get a call back thats ok, because the phone number works and it goes to a voicemail but calling a number and it just rings without a voicemail coming on is a sure sign the number is not good.I need them to refund my money still for them two fraudulent leads and I canceled my account with them but they like to put the money back into your lead account instead of refunding, which leads to more bad leads.

      Business response

      10/30/2024

It's unfortunate to hear things didn't work out better. After a review of your account history and conversations with our Customer Experience team, we are confident we can fully address any remaining concerns you have.  If a lead is confirmed to have incorrect contact information or to be mistakenly submitted, then they would certainly be eligible for credit. It is possible these two leads were miscategorized, which resulted in the credit being denied. We have since credited the two leads back to your account and then issued a refund of $130.00 back to your initial payment method. We hope this resolves your concern satisfactorily. Additionally, you statused 3 of your leads as "won job" and requested the homeowner leave you a review. Our goal for every customer is to see a return on their investment, and we are hopeful you succeeded.

This company is a scam. They sell stolen information to contractors. I randomly started receiving emails and text messages from them. Then I started receiving texts from contractors claiming I wanted a new roof.

If you did not intend to receive calls from local contractors your frustration is understandable. In most situations we can determine how a customers information was received but after searching our system with the contact information you provided we were unable to do so. At this time you should no longer have local pros attempting to contact you. If there is anything else we can do to be of assistance please do not hesitate to contact our customer experience team.

They rebilled me 300 bucks so I got o na phone with a manager. *** was a total joke. Even used name calling. Said he didnt have to do s*** for me. Saying I get why you dont sell bro. We sad to hear of the poor experience you had working with us. While no form of advertising is perfect and there will always be ebbs and flows in business of any kind, its obvious we dropped the ball here. Our team is passionate about helping customers to see success with our leads. In this case it seems like our representative pushed a little to far when trying to understand the challenges you ran into and this led to a negative experience. We appreciate the feedback and will use this as an opportunity to improve that approach. To confirm, the most recent charge of $300.00 was refunded back to the card on file as of 9/12/24.

Ive been doing business with this advertising lead program for more than 1 year everything started super well but until the last 3 months from this current year. Ive gotten nothing but fake leads! Fake names fake home address. At the beginning when i first open my account with them they told we will only send out the same lead to 2/3 contractors! What a scam they sent it out to more then 6/7 contractors they all they do is take as much profit they can from one call. Also 2 months ago I had one of their employees calling me to help me get more leads all I had to do is pay him $2,000 to help me win this big projects. I told him let me think about it. But he kept calling all weekend I didnt answer him but then on the next week in Monday he call and left a voicemail message witch I still have that recording in my phone he left this message if you are a man answer me b**** a** because I know I am I was shocked at that voicemail message after doing business with them for so long. All I got back was an apology I said thats all Im getting after all of that. Today August 22/2024 at 11:35am I call a team member to ask about a lead the has past ********************************************************************************************* She said we cant refund any credit back if they dont answer you is not in our hands our policy doesnt allow us. I was shock about that so I said to her so if I get 10 leads and nun of them answer your going to keep my money because you cant do nothing about even though they dont answer She said yes !! I was like wow I didnt wanted to make this report but I just got out the line the way they treated me as a customer I also referred so many friends i regret introducing them to this fake lead program. I just wishes they would treat long lasting customer a better service!

It is concerning to hear this kind of feedback and we are truly sorry for any offense caused to you. After investigating this matter further we can say that the voicemail message was left in error and was not intentional. It appears we were informed of this in June of this year and the matter was immediately addressed by a manager. You mentioned a concern with the leads you have received recently, we are more than happy to assist with any challenges you may have. Ultimately, it's great to hear that things have worked well in the past and we are confident we can continue to help get those types of results in the future.

*************************** is the was the man I talked to. I had cancelled with Networx about 2 weeks ago. I had gotten notified for a couple leads but I thought they werent real because the man I talked to to cancel told me I was canceled. I still had around $700 in their systems and apparently they told me that they would give me that $700 in the form of leads. I didnt realize this so I wanted my money back. I called and they refused. This is not why Im complaining. My complaint has to do to **** (didnt tell me his last name) and *************************** were so unbelievably rude to me. **** demanded to tell him the ratio of money we made with them or he wouldnt refund anything. He was so unprofessional and rude to me I have never dealt with something to this magnitude before. I cancelled because of the 5 lead services I had, Networx performed the worst. This seemed to offend them and their demeanor changed. These guys have so many bad reviews and now I know why. Fake/bad leads, HORRIBLE customer service I was baffled. I will add he did end up giving me about half credits back, but it doesnt make up for the two hours I spent on the phone.

It is sad to hear of your experience. It makes sense you are frustrated about receiving leads after you were told the account was closed. After further investigation into the conversations you had with our team we would hope to respond to your feedback appropriately. At the time the account was closed it was explained that any remaining balance in the account would be delivered in the form of leads. This is normal practice in the event an account is closed and some amount of the initial deposit remains. But, as you stated this does not appear to be where we dropped the ball. Eventually we received a call from you requesting the remaining balance be refunded and attempted to explain what is outlined in the membership agreement. Ultimately you were refunded the remaining balance in the account by our representative. At that point our representative hoped to learn about the success you did have with our leads and is where we understand a bad impression was made on our behalf. Our hope is that every customer see's value from our service and while our intentions come from the right place, we apologize if inquiring about this resulted in a bad experience for you.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Networx customer support. The representative I spoke with was unprofessional and seemed to deliberately provoke me, using condescending language like bud, which was entirely uncalled for. Their behavior left a sour taste in my mouth, and I feel compelled to share this so others are aware of the kind of treatment they might receive when dealing with this company.Additionally, I must emphasize that the leads provided by Networx are highly questionable. In my experience, many of the leads they supply seem fake or are of extremely low quality. When following up on these leads, I was often met with angry homeowners who had no interest in my services and were irritated by my calls. This not only wastes time and resources but also damages the reputation of your business.Networx is a terrible company to work with. Their customer support is disrespectful, and their leads are not worth the money or effort. If you value your time, your money, and your reputation, I strongly urge you to avoid this company. They do not deliver on their promises, and youre likely to end up with nothing but headaches and dissatisfied potential clients. Its frustrating to invest in something meant to grow your business, only to find out youve been misled.I hope this serves as a warning to others. There are better options out there that value your business and provide better service and leads. I regret giving Networx my time and money and hope others can avoid making the same mistake. If youve had similar experiences, I encourage you to share your story so that more people are aware of what theyre getting into when they sign up with Networx.

We are sorry to hear things did not work out as you had imagined. It seems that you feel the level of service you received when speaking with our team was far from acceptable and failed to address the concerns you have with the leads you received. While there is no perfect form of advertising we work hard to provide our customers with quality job opportunities. Additionally, our support team is held to a high standard, therefore we are reviewing the conversation you had with our representative and will address any unprofessionalism directly. Had we known earlier we would have made a concerted effort to address your concerns but it appears that this was brought to out attention a few days ago. If there is anything we can do to assist you further please do not hesitate to let us know.
