I am filing this complaint to address inaccurate late payment entries reported by the following creditors on my credit report:NAVY Federal Credit Union - Account(s) ending in ***************, ****************, and 406095552601****GA'S OWN Credit Union - Account ending in 401159102009****Target/TD - Account ending in 585975218460****Apple ************ *** - Account ending in 120001200402****Bank of America - Account ending in 6301005785****SELF Financial/LEAD - Account ending in 42958****I have a long-standing history of timely payments and have always maintained my obligations on these accounts. Despite this, recent reports inaccurately reflect late payments. I have already disputed these entries through the ************************************ (****) and ********. However, the information returned as verified, yet no valid documentation was provided to substantiate these claims. Furthermore, no notifications were issued prior to the reported late payments, and any delays stemmed from an ACH processing issue outside of my control.Complaint Reason:This inaccurate reporting significantly impacts my credit file and standing. These late payment entries are unjust and do not reflect my diligent payment record. I have read that under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), creditors are responsible for accurately reporting consumer payment history. Additionally, it is essential that any discrepancies are investigated thoroughly, and proof is provided to support the accuracy of any claimed late payments.Requested Resolution:I am requesting that upper management carefully reviews this case and, given my proven history of timely payments, submits a goodwill adjustment request to the credit reporting agencies to remove all inaccurately reported late payments from my credit report. This would not only restore accuracy to my credit profile but also reflect the integrity of my payment history. If no resolution is reached, I will consider further escalation.Business response

I received an "Adverse Action Notice" dated: 10/10/2024, from Georgia Own Credit Union for a Loan Applied for by me in the Amount of $10,500.00! The date of the Loan Application is 9/10/2024.The main issue is that I did not apply for any Loan in any amount from that Credit Union. The Second issue is how did this happen when all three Credit Bureau's have a Freeze in Place on my Credit? Something is wrong with this picture as that letter they sent me has part of my Social Security Number, how did they get it? And finally, I need those documents from the Credit Union that have that allowed them to attempt to access my Credit files without my permission.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: The business has provided No Specific information of "Source" Documents with My Electronic Signature or Any Loan Application Documents from me to the Credit Union, because "None" exists, as I did not apply for a Loan in the amount of $10,500.00. or any other Dollar amount to the Credit Union. This is Out and Out Fraud and it needs to determined where/how it orginated, the Company's reputation is on the line!
Further that Credit Union is under State and Federal Laws, answers need to be provided immediately.

As, I have stated to this financial institution on several occasion, I did not open this account. I am taking one finally attempt to resolve this matter amicably before seeking legal recourse for violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Defamation, Negligent Enablement of Identity Fraud, and Violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I had a credit card account with **********************. I also enrolled in the insurance option that included recovery for loss of employment. I reached out to Georgia's Own several times starting in 5/2023 once I was laid off from my employer, inquiring about filing a claim. I was given the run around and the representatives had no clue as to who their insurance carrier was for credit cards. I was finally given Trustage. I filed a claim with Trustage on 5/26/2023. I was then contacted by an adjuster who advised me that Georgia's Own did not select the insurance option when submitting my credit card profile. I paid for the insurance option for years. I then demanded that the insurance option be removed, and it was. I was never given any credit for the years of paying for the insurance option. I fell into a hardship and became past due on my account. I explained the entire situation to the collection reps. **** did not work with me at all. My credit card account has now been written off.Business response

I received a response from ***** ******* advising that the credit insurance purchased did not include the same benefits that are now offered with their new credit insurance program. I advised Ms. ******* that I double checked with their *************** before attempting to file my claim and confirmed that I in fact had the proper insurance that included loss of employment.
In speaking with Ms. ******* she mentioned that I opened the credit card account in 2013. I mentioned that I didn't remember signing up for insurance to begin with. She offered to send the signed credit card application. Upon receipt of the application, I noticed that the option for the insurance was in fact rejected and someone forged check marks beside the clearly marked "no coverage" selection.
When I fell into a hardship in 2023 after being laid off from my job, I began looking closely at all of my bills and reached out to the ********* inquiring about the additional fees on my account. I inquired about the insurance coverage details and was actually relieved to find out that loss of employment would be covered. I made several calls and email attempts to file a claim only to be misled for the second time. I was never advised that the insurance did not cover loss of employment.
At this time I am requesting full reimbursement of the credit insurance fees that I was fraudulently charged.

In January of 2024, we received notice that our Georgia's Own Credit Card was going to be shut down because we had NOT used it within a couple years and it had a zero balance. We were informed that in order to keep the credit line open, we would need to use the card. In an effort to keep the line of credit open, we used the card for a grocery run. We did not have access to pay the bill online, so my wife went in to the branch to pay the balance off 02-28-24. The balance at the time was $64.40. I have the receipt from the transaction. She was assured that the balance was paid and the account was back to zero. However in May of 2024, I received notice from Credit Karma that I had a delinquent credit card balance with GA's own. Upon further investigation, we found out that the day before my wife went in to GA's own to pay the outstanding balance, on 2/27 the bank had tried to withdraw a payment from my old Georgia's Own checking account. We no longer banked there and the balance was at zero. They did NOT inform her of this while she was there making the payment. Then the day after she made the payment, on 03/01/24 GA's own charged us a return fee on that credit card account. We had no idea this was going on and were not informed of it the day my wife paid the balance of $64.40, or we would have handled it prior to the credit reporting. Once we found out, I went in to the local branch and they agreed this was an error on their part, and they had all accumulated charges removed. However, they did not report the error to the credit bureau's. I just went back to them this month as this is the only "late" payment on our 18 years of credit reporting and it is hurting our ability to get a loan. They admitted they were in the wrong and removed the charges, but still refuse to report the error to the credit unions. I would like for them to inform and remove the credit error from my credit report ***************************** and my wife's credit report ***********************************.Business response

No debit card. ***************************** the eServices Department manager is awesome, but in this case she has not been able to figure out and resolve the problem. Someone higher up and able to troubleshoot needs to get involved. It has never been my address except probably the first time, when you made me change it to be incorrect. This has been the worst banking experience of my life and this is from someone with an 800+ credit score. I got a HELOC from SYMMETRY and because Georgia's own and SYMMETRY are connected they recorded the loan TWICE on my credit report showing the EXACT same loan recorded twice. (SHOWS I HAVE ONE LOAN THROUGH GEORGIA'S OWN AND ONE THROUGH SYMMETRY Because of this it is showing my debt to income as being VERY incorrect. It has hindered by ability to continue to invest and I have gotten the run around from every person including manager I can talk to at Georgia's own. I demand this issue be resolved immediately to avoid a lawsuit.Business response
