On October 2, 2024 a Massachusetts federal District Court granted summary judgment and awarded substantial damages and injunctive penalties against a credit-repair telemarketer. The suit, filed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, alleged numerous violations of federal and state law by Commonwealth Equity Group, LLC, d/b/a Key Credit Repair, and its owner and president, Nikitas Tsoukales.
