On 1-21-23 I paid Tope Plumbing $505 to come out to do a camera inspection and clear a stopped up sewer which was backing up in the yard at a house I own at *********************************. in ******** which is next door to my residence at 513 *******. MSD had been called the day before, 1-20-23, came out and checked all their lines and determined there was no problem with their lines and advised the blockage was on a lateral.The tech from **** arrived, tried to cable the sewer line but said he was not able to clear the problem and tried to run the camera but was not able to do that either. He then told me the line had to be MSD's despite me telling him it was not and that they had already been here to confirm that. He then packed up and left without completing anything except collecting my $505. MSD sent another crew and again confirmed the problem was not theirs. I never received any type of camera inspection report from ********************* River City, came through the Kirkwood Sewer Lateral program which cost me an additional $400. River City had no difficulty clearing the blockage and provided me with the video inspection footage which showed no structural problem with the lateral. ****** report falsely states the line is MSD's.**** has been completely unresponsive to my inquiries including stopping by their office and being assured they would talk to "the boss" and they would get back to me, which they have not.I would like a refund of at least $400 to cover the second plumbing *** that actually did the work **** was paid to do and ideally the full $505 since they did not accomplish anything from their visit and have caused a great deal of stress and aggravation dealing with this..
