We closed on our home on May first of twenty twenty three and was given a ninety day time frame for our move in date. They have completed little to no work on our home and we are making payments on a home that we are not living in. They fail at communicating with me. When I ask for information its always someone elses fault why there hasnt been any progress with our project. I feel as though we have provided more than enough time even if there were set backs in the process for us to be closer than what we are in the process. They have provided false work orders to Champion homes and they have made attempts on serval occasions to come and fix door k**** and shutters that are not even on the home yet. The wood exterior of my home has been exposed to the elements. People who have been approved at the same time as us or after have been setup and in their homes and we are still waiting. They rushed for the down payment to be paid and for he closing of the home but, none of that urgency had been involved in the set up and completion of our project. I have had other home buyers from this company reach out to me once they seen that we purchased from them with complaints of their horror stories and not being in there homes. The bank has called on many occasions to follow up on where we are in the process and have reached out to them as well in hopes to nudge them along and nothing. We just want to live in a home that we pay for and I feel we deserve that. Please help us!!

      Business response

      10/09/2023

      Per the General Manager:

The hold up with this project is the customer's mother has not fixed her septic. She was running sewage through a pipe through ******'s property and into a ditch. The county saw this when they were out doing ******'s permit and would not let us move forward with our project until it was addressed and repaired. We had to pay for the septic repair permit for the mom, wait for them to come out, and issue a repair permit. We told the mom what was going on, and the county was requiring that she install a new septic as hers was too damaged. she refused to do this, so we offered to pay for half of it just to get it done. Still refusing, our office manager had to sit down with the county to come up with a plan B as they were not letting us permit ******'s property with the mom's sewage running through it.

The county finally agreed to permit ******'s property contingent on a septic easement and new deed. The septic easement was created by us and submitted to the health **** for review. weeks later, it was denied as the size needed to be adjusted. We re did it and re submitted it. Once approved, they let us know that we needed a written deed to go along with it. The *********** attorney created this deed, and we submitted it. It was finally approved.

They now had to permit ******'s property for a pump tank to accommodate for the new large easement right behind ******'s house. These have to be engineered, so the installer had to send them to a 3rd party for the pump plans to be designed. This took a couple of months. It was finally released to the health **** by the engineers, and we are finalizing the septic this week for the project to move forward.

My Wife and I purchased a **** ******** Homes Embark Scout Manufactured home from Gum Tree Homes on May 22nd with a $2,000 deposit, and paid for it in full on June 7th to "expedite" the process. Total money sent to Regional Enterprises (not Gum Tree mind you) was $91,828.50. It is now September 21st, and the home is still not habitable because the installer has not affixed an Anchor decal, which the ****************** requires to establish electrical service.Throughout the entire process, we have been told numerous times that the Regional Enterprises subcontractors were coming on a particular day, where we needed to be there (a 3 hour round trip drive) just to have them not show up, wasting over a week of my paid time off, as well as costing us addition rent and utilities. When the installer did come, he found an issue, which was corrected the following day, but now it may be weeks before they come back. We were told by the installer he would be there on the 18th or 19. Didn't arrive, no notification or anything. Texts are not returned, calls are not answered, ******* Homes is powerless to help. I feel that we are being punished because the house was incorrectly installed initially and the installer is just making us wait. For a process that should take at most 10 weeks, according to the purchase contract, we are at 16 weeks.

I spoke with the General Manager of Gum Tree and he reported:

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

We have already been told this on Tuesday the 12th.  (Installer was to be there Monday the 18th, or Tuesday the 19th and did not show, nor communicate as such)  Our understanding is that the installer does not know when he can finish the job.  Throughout this process, actions have not reflected the words when it comes to scheduling.  We need a specific date/time for the stickering of the home.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  This matter is not completely closed.  The installer did provide further inspection and applied the installation decal, after some additional last-minute items were resolved, and we did have the a successful state inspection of the electrical on 10/03/2023, and are approved for permanent electrical service connection.

The remaining items are for the **** technician to return after power is established (next day or two for power connection) and complete the remaining installation actions, as well as pass the state inspection for the **** installation.  Once these activities are complete, the only remaining due-out will be the final walkthrough/checklist for warranty items.  When all that is complete, I believe this can be closed.

      Better Business Bureau:

Regional Enterprises has completed the remaining tasks in an acceptable manner.  We do still need to provide the warranty inspection notes to Gum Tree Homes; however, that is a small task as we have not noted any warranty issues to date.

Thank you for the assistance in getting this matter resolved.

I bought a Cappaert cruzer 4/2019 from regional home in meridian ms just found out that my roof was not laid properly and with no overhang. ***** ****** was the salesman. When I contacted this company they told me he doesn’t work there anymore and I found out he does. I still have the text message he sent when we were doing the deal. They essentially told me it’s not their problem as the warranty has expired. It wasn’t expired when they setup my home. They knew there was a problem when they sold it to me. They even lied about that. ***** told me he won’t even show this brand of home. No one ever called me back to even discuss this. This should have been dealt with before they sold to me. Now I have to pay someone to fix this I have a 4 yr old home that needs roof repairs. They should be made to put a new roof on my home. But they can’t be bothered now the warranty is no longer valid. That is how they treat you once the deal is done.

Per the General Manager of the store:

Ms. **** ***** contacted us about a roof issue several weeks ago. Due to her being several years outside of her warranty coverage, our service manager told her it would most likely need to be filed on her insurance. Upon speaking with Ms. ***** recently, we discovered she had already paid a contractor $2000 to fix her issue. Based on looking at the pictures, we agreed to split the difference and pay $1000 to help with this cost. Per our latest conversation, she was happy with this.

I bought my mobile home from Pearl Home Center and they stated that the manufacturer would finish the punch list a few weeks after I moved in. the manufacturer put me off for more than a year then shut down and filed bankruptcy. I feel that since Pearl Home Center sold me the home they should come out and complete the repairs. I have spoken with them quite a few times and they were going to find out what to do and call back but now they are just ignoring my calls, texts, and emails.

This house was delivered in October of 2021. Contractors were sent out to do some repairs when Cappaert was still in business and was in contact with the homeowner. The 1-year warranty is with the Manufacturer.  If the customer would like to reach out to the store directly, they will try to do everything in reason to help the customer and make the customer happy.

I purchased my home from Regional Homes of Brunswick County NC. Closed on it June 2, 2023, home was delivered on June15th. The inside was so dirty, back door had a hole in it. The communication these people do with you is far and few between. Oh they are in a hurry to get you to buy a home from them on and once you do your really in trouble. They DO NOT believe in getting work done that has to be done. And that's with multiple calls and text messes. As of today there still any permit paper from the county put up. I still have no septic tank down, land was perked around the first part of June 2023. They keep telling me they are waiting on the estimate to put septic in. Had I know what I know today I would have never bought my home from these lying people. They are the worse people I have ever dealt with. I have no power, no septic and no water. I was told it would only take 60-90 days to get it all done Sept 15th will be my 90 days. I don't see them getting it finished by then ****** who is in charge of making sure the work gets done is a very big liar. She doesn't know how to do her job.

      Business response

      09/06/2023

The General Manager responded with this information:

We are waiting on a septic easement to be completed. All work that can be completed prior to the septic (mechanical, power, steps, and punch list) has been completed. Her system was perked by a soil engineer, who had to go back out to her property the first of August to finish the job. I am waiting on his site plan to be sent so I can forward it to our surveyor to complete. I follow up just about every morning.  I have connected with the customer 5-6 times regarding the status of the project. Her home is going to be cleaned by a professional cleaning crew once the CO is issued and construction is complete.

I bought my home from pontotoc home center in pontotoc Ms in 2021. The house was manufactured March 2021 and delivered May 2021. Within the first 6 months we had issues with the wiring. Multiple lights went out (4) and plug ins as well (5), trim bowed out as well as the floor being laid improperly. The dishwasher is hardwired into the house, which electroncly glitched and quit working along with my stove/oven becoming faulty due to the wiring (information on the matter using the error code was researched and confirmed to be a wiring issue.) As well as fuses in my home fuse panel were being thrown randomly to which I replaced them. I was told to have the issues written and turned in within the first year. I had the complaints in before the alotted time frame to which none of the issues were attempted to be resolved as stated in the contract I had with pontotoc home center. We are now 2 years into buying our home with the same issues, all the while my mortgage payment continues to increase due to inflation. The mortgage company can't get involved in the issue and pontotoc home center did not correct the issues as stated in their written agreement on file. I need help to fix the issues or find a way to move forward. Please and thank you.

The store received the letter on July 13, 2023 and is working to get resolved.  The General Manager contacted the customer and asked for a detailed list.  Additionally, a service technician will be sent to see what is going on with the home.

We bought our mobile home back in December of 2020 and we have called emailed countless times for them to come out and fix all our issues and they haven’t came but twice. Once to fix the cabinet in the laundry room that just literally fell off the wall and again to fix a leak in our ac that cause us to have black mold under the floor and to fix some soft spots in the kitchen. The spots in kitchen still are there and we have black mold again now because they people that came out when putting our fridge back didn’t tighten it properly and caused a leak and black mold again. We have cracks and other issues since day one that we’ve been trying to get them to come out and fix and nothing has happened they don’t call us back or anything and when I called this last time she mentioned our warranty being up and that doesn’t sit right with me because they have not done what they were supposed to. We just need help with what we need to do next this home will not last another 2 years like this in our opinion and this is just getting ridiculous in my opinion. Please help. Thank you so much.

After reviewing the service history for home *************-******* *******, the only issue "reported" while the home was under warranty which was not addressed is the peeling kitchen cabinet located above the vent hood- picture received from Mr. ******* on 11/23/21.All other reported issues were addressed, and picture documentation was provided.  See attached copy of completed work orders.  As you can see from the dates on the work orders, technicians have visited the home more than twice to make repairs.

When the original issue of condensation in the breaker box was reported, Regional contracted ***** ****** to make repairs.  Mr. ****** and Mr. ******* were to schedule service dates. Per Mr. ******, he attempted to schedule service multiple times but Mr. ******* would not agree to the days presented.   Almost a year later Mr. ******* reports the work was not done and the flooring issue had worsened.
Winston approved to let Regional's contracted technicians make the necessary repairs. Per the technician, all repairs were completed and he is confident in his work.

I have multiple emails and texts between myself and ***** ******, contractor, stating a detailed list of materials installed in the home to make repairs. The email highlighted in yellow sums up the repairs. The most recent email in gray address the refrigerator leak stated by Mrs. *******. (correspondence attached)

I will send a technician to repair or if need be, replace the cabinet doors that were reported during warranty.  Please let me know if you need anything else.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that I will accept them coming to fix everything from all the cracks we’ve had since day one and emailed about to our cabinets and our floor and black mold that is now in our master bathroom, but as for Mr ****** saying we didn’t agree on the days I attached the texts between him and my husband and I have many more it just wouldn’t let me add them. We also have the emails of all the problems that we have had since day one being the cracks in the walls and ceiling. Biggest question is when are they coming.
