I went for an oil change on September 22, 2024. I paid $95.01 for an oil change and to have my fluids topped off. I just learned today, October ******* that they did not do an oil change. My brother is a professional mechanic and he changed my brakes today. He checked my brake fluid and it was black. I had no coolant in my car. He then checked my oil and oil filter and asked why I didnt get an oil change yet. I showed him my oil change sticker and he showed me that my oil and oil filter have not been changed. I have not drove my car since that date due to no brakes (I just bought the car a few days before I got an oil change so I know that I did not dirty up the oil or filter myself already. I would like to be reimbursed. I was scammed out of my money by Take 5. I paid almost $100 for just a sticker on my windshield and did not receive the service I paid for.

On 10/05/2024, I took my vehicle into Take 5 on ********* in ********** for a routine oil change. Hurricane ****** came through that Wednesday/Thursday, and when I went to leave my house that following Sunday, 10/13/2024, almost all of the oil had leaked out of my car. I called that location and *****, the manager submitted a claim for me. Since then, I have been taking my car back every morning for top offs as it leaks about a quart of oil in a 24 hour period. I have also been reaching out to the Fleet Response team for almost 2 weeks. They told me to take my vehicle to a shop to have it diagnosed, which I did, and my car is still sitting there with nothing being done as the Fleet Response team stated that they submitted the info to the client and are awaiting a liability determination. I've reached out to Take 5 customer service and was told to wait another 24 hours, even though I do not have my car and am now on the hook to the shop for the diagnostic service (if they do not pay). For whoever is going to respond to me, the claim # is *******.

The customer service here was great. The tech was nice and we even met the Manager, who helped worked on my car and thats where the good things really end. A few days later my car made some funny noises and I had a feeling I should take it into the dealership, where I normally get oil changes, to discover that the ******* drain plug for my engine was replaced with an aftermarket that did not fit. Causing copious amounts of oil spilled out into my engine and every where else. So much so that if I had not taken it into the dealership my engine would have seized, destroying my car. Over someone being lazy and not checking to see if they grabbed the correct drain plug. Also in an effort to upsell me and show me the engine filter that needed to be replaced. The tech managed to snap off the tabs and break the door off the box that houses my filter. Rather than saying anything or trying to fix it/ offer to replace it, my filter was just thrown back in where it rattled around, got damaged and now needs to be replaced. After this entire ordeal, it is going to cost me $417 to have all of these things fixed and addressed at the dealership.

On August 21 2024 I toke my mother's vehicle into Take 5 for a full synthetic oil change. I told the gentleman the correct size to my engine 8.1 instead of the 5.7 that pulls up when you put the vin # in for the correct filter option. They did not listen told me to start the vehicle, and oil sprayed all over the engine. I could hear them screaming from under the vehicle to shut off the truck. After doing so, they REALIZED I was correct about the filter size and put in the correct filter. I was told they fixed what ever problems they created, if I had anymore I could bring the vehicle back. My vehicle kept dripping oil, I called only to be told everything was fine. Then the low oil light came on.I checked my oil to find the engine oil was black and dirty, and on the lowest tip oil dipstick. After calling 3 different times and waiting hours for someone to answer the phone, I was fortunate to get through to fleet response. They could not find my information because Take 5 improperly filled out my receipt paperwork. Wrong number, wrong mileage, no name. They towed my mothers vehicle to *********. ********* said it was obvious they put in the wrong filter, left the engine oil all over the engine thay sprayed out, and only topped off the oil after it went into the reserves from starting the car.Well that was 2 weeks ago, I was told by fleet response this is a 2 business day process. I have been paying for Ubers since, and have been told multiple times by the adjuster 2 more days, 2 more days, 2 more days....When calling *********, they said this is beyond ridiculous, and I could have had my truck back immediately. It's obvious Take 5 is responsible. ********* did all the due diligence to send over the paperwork multiple times, and the truck is just waiting on Fleet response. This is not even my vehicle, my mother is beyond anger and they are not responding to her. I'm just constantly being told another 2 days....I want the repair completed and truck back

      Hello,

It is my understanding that the claim with Fleet Response is needed a more detailed diagnostic from ********* and that the claim is pending that documentation. Once this information has been submitted to your Fleet Response representative, a clearer decision can be made. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with.

I took my car to get serviced on 10/18 for full synthetic oil change and apparently an engine air filter. Sunday my car started jerking really bad and Monday my car didnt want to turn off and by Monday afternoon right before getting on the highway my car completely stopped.. it was running hot and apparently no coolant in my car. Based off the receipt my coolant was topped off and was at safety levels. I go back to the shop who stated that are not responsible and i need to take my car to a shop. They should be required to pay any outside cost that I have had to endure including the oil change and filter

I took my car in for an oil change and I paid exactly $105 for my service! My car has started overheating and stopping on me! I work overnight so of course this was an inconvenience for me. I was stuck on the side of the road because my car wouldnt go over 20 mph without overheating. I got someone to look at my car and come to find out all the caps was off on the things that was supposed to be refilled. Everything dried out which was causing problems to my car. This one small mistake couldve had me carless. I have a small child! My baby could have been in the car while my car was stopping on me. This is very unsafe and was a scary experience for me!

      Good morning,

I want to start off by apologizing for your recent experience with Take5. The experience you had is not what we want to exemplify as a company. Regarding your BBB complaint, does the car still be looked and possibly repaired? Or are we looking to file a claim for a refund of the Take 5 service? Please let me know and what you are requesting so we can take the necessary steps. If you could also provide me with the *** number of the car, I can start filing the claim for you and make any edits that we need.

Take 5 blew my engine, 5 months ago. Had me wait months over a 1500 difference from new to used that now has 3 separate issues days after picking the car up. They do not want to take further responsibility and think they did what they should have but are not taking further accountability over the fact that I had a engine replaced but the engine lights on when I leave the repair facility. I am near ****** with local municipality to further this complaint.

I went to take 5 oil change on sept ******* . Once I left I heard something dragging from the bottom of my car. I hadnt been able to take my car back right away do to me working two jobs and I have a tight schedule. I hadnt my oil change done at 5012 ****** location. Well afterwards I still kept hearing something dragging and when I finally look my oil pan cover underneath my car wasnt put back together properly so it had been dragging while driving. I called the complaint line and spoke with ******* ******* and he advised me someone would contact me. I sent pictures of the damage and my information. Then a ******* **** contacted me through email stating I had body damage to my car so I quickly responded and called her to say it was the panel underneath my car. Its been a week and I havent received a call from her or anything. I have a brand new car and I want the cover from the damage replaced. Since the technician didnt put it back on they had only put two screws back on and put the rest on. I need this taken care of otherwise I will have to take legal matters. I have given take 5 oil change plenty of time to fix the damage and now not getting any response from anyone. You can contact me at **************. Please correct and fix this problem. ******* ******* and ******* tubs have not contacted me for further information or assistance regarding this. Again I have a new car and this was my first oil change and damage was caused it is only right to replace and repair what was damaged underneath my car.

      Good morning,

I see that you were working with our Fleet Response team and came to a resolution in this matter. Is that correct? If so, please let us know so we can close this matter with BBB. I see that we are just waiting on the estimated cost of repair from your dealership. I believe the Fleet Response team is also just needing a picture of the skid plate damage and the current mileage. If that has already been sent in, please let me know.
