As an owner and veterinary professional, I would not recommend the Veterinary Center of Hudson. The poor communication, patient care and multiple mistakes that have been made, have caused my animals lives to be in jeopardy! If I didn't work in the veterinary field, I would have followed their advice putting my animals life at risk. This is the reason why I'm writing this review. I will share the multiple mistakes made on their part. To begin, ******************** misdiagnosed my shepherd having foreign material in her stomach. If I didn't take her to the referral hospital she would have died. A endoscopic procedure was performed where they removed over 50 pieces of linoleum flooring that calcified and were tearing up the inside of her stomach. After this incident, I chose to stay because I liked **************** and felt comfortable with him seeing my animals. A few months later, my shepherd was vomiting blood and had to have an emergency surgery where an ulcer was found due to her taking Carprofen an anti-inflammatory. With that being said, this medication should be stopped immediately. On her go home instructions, **************** wrote to continue her Carprofen! I knew this was a mistake as I work in the veterinary field and brought this to his attention. As a regular owner, I would have followed his instructions, causing the ulcer to worsen and eventually rupture. In addition, my cat who was sick, it took 2 weeks to receive a phone call regarding her blood work and another 2 weeks to have them call me to pick up her medications. A month went by with no concern for her well being despite the phone calls I made. My final decision was to no longer be a client anymore as again mediation was labeled incorrectly and was given three times the dose of what was needed. After multiple mistakes that were made, poor patient care and not taking responsibility for their actions is why I'm writing this review. Owners deserve the best for their animals and here they will not receive it. It's alarming to think of what other mistakes were made on their part that owners are unaware of. My best advice is for owners to be an advocate and ask questions and do your research. I hope that Vch will stop justifying their mistakes and that this review will give them insight in proceeding with future clients.
