      Without a doubt, in my 64 years on this earth, I have never seen a more poorly run organization in my life.MBA sells a Tricare Supplement plan. I signed up for the no deductible option and am paying almost $500 a month in premiums. Coverage started in January. We are now in July and they have paid one healthcare claim. Since January,I have had 6 different conversations with them about coverage, I have done everything they requested and I have been assured everything would be handled. Two hours after my last conversation with them some 4 weeks ago I got a call from a "Supervisor" who told me everything I had been told was wrong and that they could not pay my claims because they could not verify that it was not a preexisting condition. They told me doctors were not returning their forms. so I called the doctors, who emailed me the forms they had returned to the MBA/********/WebTPA. One doctor who is particularly detailed told me the time and day they got the form and the time and day they returned the form. As of this day, MBA says they never got the form. Even though I had asked the doctors office to send it to them again a month ago. BTW a copy of the email was sent to me so I know the doctor sent it out. I also learned from another doctor that MBA had told them I needed to meet the $300.00 Tricare deductible before they would pay. I bought the no deductible plan. And when I questioned MBA about this issue they told me I had to meet the deductible. They did pay one physician in February so I asked why they paid them if I had not met the deductible. They had no answer. Where we stand right now is that MBA has taken about $1500 from my account, paid one claim of $140 dollars or so and refused all other claims. Unless something changes with them soon, I will be moving forward with all possible remedies to the situation. As it stands right now, I would HIGHLY encourage anyone and everyone to run from them. They are not a credible company and should be avoided forever.

      We regret Mr. ****** dissatisfaction with his TRICARE Supplement through MBA. We are working with the Plan Underwriter and Claims Processor and currently working to set up a joint call with ***************** the meantime, we would like to clarify a few aspects of the MBA TRICARE Supplement plan. This supplement insurance does not include payment of TRICARE Deductibles ($150 Individual/$300 Family). This plan is specifically for payment of eligible copays and cost shares, as explained in the certificate of insurance. Selection of a $0 deductible plan with MBA means one does not carry an additional deductible with MBA. Some of our members elect a $200 or $500 deductible plan to keep the monthly premiums of their supplement lower. In addition, as with all other TRICARE supplement plans were aware of, MBAs plan contains a six-month pre-existing condition clause, which excludes any claim related to a pre-existing condition for the first six months of coverage, also as explained in the certificate of insurance. This necessitates the completion of an additional form by your physicians office for all claims incurred during the first six months. Finally, we would like to clarify Mr. ****** monthly premium is $165.81, billed quarterly. We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding provided through MBA or our Claims Processor and are working to resolve this matter. We will offer a refund of premium if this matter is not resolved to Mr. ****** satisfaction.
