      Without notice, my bill from Republic Services increased 18% from the 07/01/2024 - 9/30/2024 quarter to the 10/01/2024-12/31-2024 quarter. I spoke to **** at the **************** number. His answer was repeatedly "Hauling and dumping charges have increased". When questioned about the 17% increase for fuel/environmental recovery, I received the same response. Fuel is much lower than in the recent past.I cancelled my recycling service beginning the 7-1-24 quarter. I retained household and yard waste pickup. Before cancelling, I confirmed there would be no penalty for the cancellation. Is this increase to compensate for the loss of income?

      Old ****** Place *** signed a new agreement with Republic Services  effective June 28, 2024 which included a fuel and environmental recovery fee. Please contact your *** President - notification should have been sent out by the **** I am uncertain about the comment on cancellation. All residents in the *** must use Republic as their trash hauler. Yard Waste and Recycling are additional charges but optional if the residents want to include.

      I got trash service online with this company then called two days later when I found out they dont come twice a week to my area. I immediately cancelled it and the agent told me I wouldnt owe them anything else besides the fee to deliver the trash can because it was already on its way. Although I disagree with having to pay them anything I still paid that amount and returned their can by using my own truck and gas. He told me I wouldnt be billed any further since I never used the service and I cancelled so soon. I have gotten bill after **** and now they sent me to collections which I am now filing a *** complaint. I saw online where this company is known for doing this to people even though they cancel it they still charge them. I want this removed and to stop billing me and take this off my credit. If not I will continue to post social media and other sources to make sure other people know to stay away from this company as this is wrong

      We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to Mr. ****** He was informed today that the $50.00 deposit refund that he inquired about was refunded to him already on 05/30/2024.

      We were not aware that he returned his trash cart to our business location and was charged a removal fee. A credit for the removal fee was applied to his account and he now has a zero balance.

      You are illegally charging me trash can pickup. You cannot do this in ** per N.J.A.C. 7:26H-1 et. If this charge is not removed I will report you to the BBB and NJ **** of Consumer Affairs for fraud and illegal activity.Remove it. Now.I also have no problem going to **** with this scam.

      while I did receive a call, and I was promised a credit despite the fact I should not have been charged in the first place, the line of questioning I received in the phone call was kind of uncomfortable. He was trying to get me to find exactly where it says that in the state statute, ask me why I canceled the service, where am I going now? I just feel it was out of line and I couldve received a simple email explaining we have credited your account. Have a nice day. Its no way to get customers back in the future this way. I feel they need to have significantly better service with better prices because everyone on my street has gone to a different provider.

      I would like to discuss the business practices of Republic Trash Service. I would not call their practices fraud, but like the current subscription services that are difficult to remove yourself from, they make it difficult to cancel your service. They state their relationship with a customer is a "Service Agreement" not a contract. Therefore, they can raise their price or add additional fees at any time without breaking the agreement. They also state if you do not give them 60 days notice at the end of the agreement, your agreement automatically rolls over. In addition, you cannot simply notify your account manager of your wish to cancel service, you must email a separate customer service address, and then they state you will hear from your account representative within 48 hours. I sent this email in September, and have yet to hear from her. Now that I have requested a cancellation, IF they honor my request, I am responsible for 2 more months of service (at whatever price they decide to charge) AND $100 to remove their receptacle.

There is a signed 3-year service agreement on the account dated October of 2021 that outlines the length of the agreement, rates, and auto-renewal terms. The rates on the account reflect the cost to provide service to your location and any increase over the 3-year term is reflective of increased cost necessary to continue to provide great service. The record also reflects that your account manager has been in contact on this account multiple times throughout September and October of this year and the account is scheduled to close at the end of November. The terms of the agreement are clearly defined in the agreement and was signed by both parties, we thank you for upholding your end of the agreement and abiding by its terms. We appreciate the opportunity to service your location and thank you for being a valued customer of ********************.

      We have ended services with Republic Services due to them constantly messing up our bill, costly service, and any time we make a request, we have to call several days in a row. We have paid the required payment for them to come and pick up their bins. We have been calling daily for two weeks getting a promise the bins will be picked up. They are still sitting outside. My issue is that this is how we were treated the whole time we had the service. This time I paid them and they will not do what they are supposed to do.

      We did experience some delays in the removal due to incorrect details from call center and then routing is not in area but certain days. As of 10/17/2024 11:30am we have removed the containers from the address.

      We contacted the customer and got the information regarding the claim.  We turned the claim over to our 3rd party insurance company and then basically it is out of our hands once we enter the claim to them.

      Republic is legally responsible for their vehicles.  Not some third party.  You need to contact your insurance company and tell them to repair the damage to my vehicle caused by a republic trash truck.  No excuses!

      Upon further review, we are still unable to cover this claim.  As previously communicated, this claim was turned over to our 3rd party adjuster for consideration however without specific incident details (truck number, precise location, time etc) they were unable to move forward with compensating the customer.  In addition, this would set a precedent going forward of implied liability to Republic to cover every windshield or other vehicle damage that occurs on the road in the normal course of business without key details or evidence of fault.

      You are right it would set a president of your company not being an *******.  I followed another republic truck this morning.  He was driving 45 mph in a ********************************************** the gravel and throwing up gravel and debris on traffic behind him. Your driver's are idiots. Trucks are dirty never clean dropping mud and gravel on the highway. All I can say at this point is go to h*** and your s***** company.

      In July 2024, as we prepared to sell our home, I requested the removal of the Republic Services trash containers. Despite calling Republic Services customer service department three times, it took an extended effort before the containers were finally reclaimed. To my surprise, I have now been billed $100 for this ********** no point during my 28 years as a customer was I informed, nor did I agree, that there would be a fee for the removal of containers that are owned by Republic Services. I have never signed any document agreeing to pay such a fee.On September 5, 2024, I called Republic Services of Fall River MA and spoke with a representative named *** *****, who assured me that the matter would be looked into, and I would receive a response by Tuesday, September 10, 2024. However, to this day, I have not received any follow-up from your company, and I continue to receive $100 invoices for this unwarranted charge.We would truly appreciate anything you can do to help us with ongoing deceitful false charge from Republic Services in ************************

      We are ***************** formerly located at ********************************. Our business permanently closed in July 2024, and we contacted Republic Services to terminate our trash disposal services. Despite encountering rude and unprofessional behavior from the representative assisting us, we completed and signed the termination *********** August, we called Republic Services to cancel all upcoming services from August to September, as we no longer had trash for collection. We were assured that these services were successfully canceled. Additionally, I reached out to our service manager, *******, multiple times without receiving any response. We also emailed the company multiple times to resolve this issue.Despite these efforts, we were charged for services that were never rendered, as we had requested their cancellation. The disputed invoices are as follows:Invoice Number 0094-001939143 (Invoice Date: 07/31/2024; Due Date: 08/20/2024) $153.80 Invoice Number 0094-001951612 (Invoice Date: 08/31/2024; Due Date: 09/20/2024) $153.80 Invoice Number 0094-001963408 (Invoice Date: 09/30/2024; Due Date: 10/20/2024) $156.11 The total disputed amount is $463.71.We find this situation unacceptable and request that Republic Services immediately refund the charges for these unused services and ensure no further billing occurs. We expect professional and timely resolution to this matter.

      They kept raising my bill, and I found out my next door neighbors among several other residents in my city were paying almost half of what I was paying for the same service. I called to see if there was anything I could do and they said no. So, I found another service and called them back to cancel; now they are charging me for a month of service I did not get, PLUS like a $60 fee to pick up and 'sanitize' my trash can, which I have never heard of such a thing before! I never knew there was such a fee! So, what they ended doing, was billing me as much for NO service as I would have been paying if I had stayed WITH them! I think this is ridiculous! Please help! Oh, and they've charged me also now for not one but TWO late fees!

      We have spoken with this resident. While the container removal fees are valid charges, we have offered to credit this one time charge on her account. We have also issued a credit for the late fees that were caused due to the non payment of the container removal fee and the ****** billing. The customer will pay for the month of ****** ********************** service. She is satisfied with this resolution.

      My property address is part of ***-*************. Our *** had negotiated a flat rate for ALL residents , what I started service with Republic Services, I gave them the *** info and they billed me monthly around $44.62. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A QUARTERLY BILLING , NOT MONTHLY. My immediate neighbor gets billed quarterly, I get billed monthly - we generate the same amount of trash, we have 4 people in each household , then why am I special in paying 90$ a month whereas my neighbors pays 90$ per quarter? I have been calling Republic services since Aug 20th and have complained to them several times, I have pointed out that 2 things needs to get resolved - 1) I need credit back for all the months I have been incorrectly billed. 2) I need the billing to be Quarterly INSTEAD of MONTLY - Republic services has acknowledged this issue several times BUT HAS DONE NOTHING TO FIX IT - THEY KEEP SAYING SOMEONE WILL CALL ME TO FIX IT, ITS 3 MONTHS SINCE I MADE THE INITIAL CALL IN AUG

      We talked to the customer on Friday 10/11 and he clearly understands this HOA opt out not to sign a services agreement, the residents they have individually billing. I offered to the customer a individual services agreement, he agreed to a "Temporary lower rate" and partial credit as a goodwill credit. In additional, their community manager Kara sent an email to ALL residents informing that they are responsible to set up their own trash services in the SRV North Community. No additional action is needed at this time, thank you.
