      I discontinued service on June 30, 2024. Even though I never signed a contract with this company they forced me to pay an $80 pick up fee for their totes. They would not allow me to drop these totes of at the local trash company. I was forced to pay the $80 fee or risk a credit hit. Company is price gouging its customers with rate hikes for fuel **** though prices are lower than they were when they took over.

      We has a small family owned auto repair business in **********, **. In December 2023 we realized that we were being overcharged for trash/dumpster service. We tried to cancel service (Republic Services)so that we could go with a new provider. When we contacted them they said we had to pay for 6 months worth of service to end contract. We then agreed to continue service for a lower agreed on price. Here we are again 9 months later and they raised prices approximately 30%. We would just like to end service with this company without having to pay extortion fees to a corporation.

      3. TERM (SCHEDULED AND ON-CALL SERVICES). FOR ALL SCHEDULED AND ON-CALL SERVICES, THE INITIAL TERM OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BEGIN ON THE DATE WHEN SERVICE
      COMMENCES AND CONTINUE FOR 36 MONTHS. UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, THIS AGREEMENT SHALL AUTOMATICALLY AND SUCCESSIVELY RENEW FOR 1 MONTHS UNLESS EITHER PARTY
      GIVES WRITTEN NOTICE OF TERMINATION TO THE OTHER AT LEAST 60 DAYS, BUT NOT MORE THAN 180 DAYS, BEFORE THE END OF THE THEN-CURRENT TERM.

      14. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES. If Customer terminates this Agreement before its expiration for any reason other than Company’s breach (or if Company terminates this Agreement due to Customer’s non-payment),
      Customer shall pay Company an amount equal to the average Charges from Customer’s last 6 invoices multiplied by the lesser of (a) six months or (b) the number of months remaining in the Term. Customer
      acknowledges that in the event of such a termination, actual damages to Company would be uncertain and difficult to ascertain, such amount is the best, reasonable and objective estimate of the actual damages to
      Company, such amount does not constitute a penalty, and such amount is reasonable under the circumstances. Any amount payable under this paragraph shall be in addition to amounts already owing under this
      Agreement.

      They raised our rates without cause, their are class action lawsuits against this company and when we cancelled our service, they are refusing to give us the correct refund. They charged us for October and we didn't even use their service. They have missed a lot of pick *** and they charged us for fuel for coming back out. we were originally with allied service but they took it over.

      We pushed through the credit that was sitting on the account ($130.06) which is the amount that would have been paid for service in October.  We have also credited the removal charge so there will be no further payments required.  Thank you.

      Republic Trash Service of Conroe continuously Miss picking up cans for customers who are on auto pay quarterly they will pick up Neighbors on both sides but not pick up my can when I call customer service to get it picked up for late pickup they don't come and pick up everybody said on a different pickup boat pickup to put it out by the curb they'll come through and pick up your fencing and tree debris and all that and they didn't come pick it up they picked up my neighbor skipped me I called them four times to ask him for both pickup and they said that they would come get it they would schedule it and nobody calls nobody emails me they just don't come get it and I am paying for the service and not getting the service

      I left a couple of voice messages for customer to return my call. I informed her that her fence and tree debris both are out of compliance and that we do not service it as bulk. I also informed her that a miss pickup credit was submitted for 09/03/2024 due to that was the only service day that Operations could not confirm service.

      The trash pickup is constantly skipped. The drivers never put the bins back inside the enclosure. The recycling bin is continuously placed up over the curb on the bed of rocks instead of back inside the enclosure. We have been cited by the City of ********* for this and have reached out to our **** ******* ******, as well as another **** ******* **** to correct this and nothing has been done. We continuously receive overage reports and charges after they have skipped our trash pickup service. This is a monopoly and people are forced to pay for less than mediocre service!

      Hello,

      We have yet to receive any notification regarding the issue you're referring to, nor have we met with anyone from Republic onsite to discuss this matter. We are uncertain who the "customer" is that was referenced in your previous communication.
      Is this the reason being given for the refusal to place the recycling bin back inside the enclosure? As of this morning (10/16), the recycling bin is still sitting on the rocks. To resolve any space concerns, we have already removed the grease trap from the enclosure to provide more than enough room for the recycling bin to fit.
      We have attempted to schedule a phone call with a representative and a supervisor, but this has not been granted, which is unacceptable. Please escalate this issue and have a supervisor contact us immediately to address this situation.

      ******* is scheduled for weekly pickup on Mondays and Thursdays yet this company is failing miserably at this. Garbage from my block and surrounding area is left for over a week on too many occasions. Oddly this doesnt happen to other neighborhoods because Ive looked into it with family and friends in this city and their garbage is ALWAYS picked up on the designated day. Leads me to believe it may be an issue with the assigned drivers for my block. Currently in hurricane advisory and left with a weeks load of garbage!!! Since nothing can be left outdoors due to hurricane conditions, we are left with placing garbage in already packed garage. This is a clear health hazard due to the infestation of bugs, maggots and toxic smelll in the air. They need to do better for my area!!!!! So disappointed as this was not the case a year ago.

      I live at *************************************************************** and ive been dealing wirh unprofessinal trash men who at timea would refuse to pick up my trash & recycling but i always had a feeling they were going thru my trash but had no proof until now. I have 3 traah cans, a gray 1 i only use 4 excess trash, a brown 1 that i put food scraps and old kitty litter in, and the a blue 1 that i put all rubbish from my bedrooms, bathrooms, and home office in, and i only put them out once a month which you can see in 1 of the 4 pictures i attavhed. This monday october 7, 2024 i DID NOT put my trash out on the curb/end of the driveway where you r required to place it to have it emptied, i left them IN my driveway on the wall indicating I had no trash go pick up. And your trash man came on me property and took the trash can THAT ONLY has my personal trash and emptied it, i want to be very clear HE DID NOT TAKE the trash can with food ************** litter ONLY THE TRASH CAN WITH ALL MY PERSONAL BUSINESS. I want a call back about this because i am feeling very scared. Why do these men need to know when i had my period, if i have condoms in my trash indicating if im single or not, and how many ppl live at this address to determine if its a worthy target to be broken into. & i dont wanna hear that the driver was mistaken because he did not take both trash cans ONLY THE CAN WITH ALL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION

      i reject thia because first i need a response in writing why their employees came on my property and emptied a trash can I DID NOT HAVE OUT ON THE STREET as well as he only took the trash can with my personal trash. ************ is harrassing me, this is not my first run in with unprofessional employees but I am black and they treating me like i have no rights, like the civil rights movement never happend. They would have never done this to a white person but its easy to disrespect a black woman when you dont respect blacks.

      Garbage collection services for my area, ************ in ********* ****** occur every monday. I watched as everyone on my street (Pyrite Ave) had their cans picked up and emptied...they left my can untouched. I received a text saying that my service would occur the next day...That did not occur. The can sat out all night and the neigbors are asking me why Republic did not pick up my garbage. I made two calls to them today (10/8/24), and received a lot of "Sorries", but nothing was done. The can still sits there, unserviced. This has happened before with their Bulk Pick Up...It took me over 6 calls to get that resolved. Now it's happening to my regular **************** I don't want to continue to use them at all, but there is no one else to remove the trash. I can't accept "we are sorry" as a solution to this problem.

      I spoke with ****** **** and he is getting a bill that does not belong to him.  I emailed him and he will be sending me a copy of the bill so that i can investigate and make sure that it gets sent to the correct person responsible.  ****** told me that he has never had service from us as they live in a condo.

      Our neighborhood has been waiting since 10/3 to have our trash picked. We were told on 10/4 that our pick up day was delayed by one day. Here it is 10/7/24 and our trash is yet to be picked up. Most of have thrown out all the food in our refrigerators and its sitting in our trash bin, smelling really bad. Some of can not shut the lids to the trash cans and trash is beginning to run over. Soon we will have a rat and raccoon problem in our neighborhood if the trash is not picked up soon. We cannot wait until the next scheduled pick up date of 10/10/24. This is not the first occurrence with poor service. It has happened 1 too many times and im trying not to contact Action 9. Please get out here and pick up the trash in my neighborhood. We pay way too much money for your business to be a disservice to us. Communication with this company is horrible as well. You can never speak to anyone at the local office and all calls goes to a call center. It very frustrating. Republic Service please do better!!

      Western North Carolina has been greatly affected by Hurricane Helene.  The storm knocked down trees and utility poles throughout the region and caused extensive flooding.  The customer that filed this complaint is serviced by the Republic Services location in Shelby, NC.  Our Shelby location lost power and internet for ten days because of the effects of the storm.  We have been doing our best to service the customers within our market.  Many roads in our area were blocked for several days due to fallen trees, flooding, fallen utility poles, and debris.  We are doing our very best to get caught back up and to provide service for all of our customers.  We have hundreds of residential customers that haven't had service from us since the storm, but we are working diligently to catch up as quickly as possible.  We should be able to service this particular by the end of this week if not sooner.

      Yes, we were greatly impacted by Hurricane Helene but that does not excuse the fact that residents recieved a message that our trash pickup would only be delayed by one day. It has now been 5 days and our next scheduled pickup day is on Thursday but the company reaponse now is that the trash should be picked up by the end of this week. No, this is unacceptable. Power has been restored and it only took a couple days to clear the roads of fallen trees in our area. Does running a trash truck require power from the local power companies??? I think not. As I stated in my complaint this is not the first rodeo of poor communication and poor service on Republic’s behalf. I spoke with a guy from the shelby office earlier today who encourage me to set my overflow of trash on the side of the trash bin. Well myself and other residents were told to do this in the past and the driver did not take the trash that was outside the trash bin. In the past 12 months Republic’s service in my area has declined.
