Good afternoon I am writing this complaint on this channel due to no response using the Conserve complaint website. I had no knowledge of any debts owed to my university or to Conserve. I originally had disputed the information on my credit file because I had no knowledge of any debts owed. During the time that letters had been sent, I had moved to another state. After receiving proof that this debt was actually mine, I made payments and paid it in full on 6/4/2021. This collection item is still reporting as an open collection on some credit bureaus and paid on others. This is the only derogatory item on my credit, as I always handle my debts in a timely matter. I am asking this be removed from my credit file because I was not given the opportunity to pay this before being sent to collections. This is has been a hardship on my credit score and has severely hurt my credit score. Any consideration would be greatly appreciated.

On May 8, 2022, ConServe received a complaint from your offices, on behalf of the Consumer
identified in ID ******** (the “Consumer”). I have been asked to respond on ConServe’s behalf.
Therein, the Customer states the account is inaccurately being reported as an open collection as the
account was paid in full on June 4, 2021, and additionally, the Consumer requests that ConServe
consider removing the account from credit reporting. ConServe apologizes for the Complainant’s
      concerns.

With respect to the account, ConServe’s records indicate that following receipt of the Consumer’s
payment on June 4, 2021, the account was appropriately requested to be updated as a paid collection
account. Following receipt of the Consumer’s current complaint, ConServe determined that although
ConServe requested this update, the account was continuing to report as an open account with a zero
balance. As a result, it was re-requested by ConServe that the account be updated as a paid collection
      account.

I apologize that ConServe cannot request removal of accurately reported information from a
Consumer’s credit report. ConServe is required under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act to
accurately report updates to an account, such as payment in full, rather than removing it. For any
additional inquiries regarding this matter, the Consumer is encouraged to contact the corresponding
      credit reporting agencies.

Should you have any questions regarding the foregoing, please call ***** ******** ********* *****
or email ************************** and I can direct your concerns to the appropriate department.

On May 17, 2022, ConServe received a supplemental response from the Consumer from your
offices, on behalf of the Consumer identified in ID ******** (the “Consumer”). The Consumer
indicates she reviewed ConServe’s May 16, 2022 response, and expressed dissatisfaction.

With respect to the account, ConServe’s records indicate that following receipt of the Consumer’s
payment on June 4, 2021, the account was appropriately requested to be updated as a paid collection
account. In any event, please be advised that on May 26, 2022, ConServe received a notification
report from e-Oscar (Online Solution for Complete and Accurate Reporting) indicating that pursuant
to internal policy the account would be requested to be removed from credit reporting. As a result of
this notification, the account was removed from credit reporting and the account will no longer be
credit reported by ConServe. For any additional inquiries regarding this matter, the Consumer is
encouraged to contact the corresponding credit reporting agencies.

Should you have any questions regarding the foregoing, please call ***** ******** ********* *****
or email ************************** and I can direct your concerns to the appropriate department.

I pulled my credit report in Oct 2021 and noticed 2 collections accounts (******** for 536.00 and ******** for 583.00) on there from Conserve. I was confused because I never heard of the company so I reached out to see about the debts and was informed *** was the original creditor. The rep I spoke with was very nice and explained the debts, when they were charged off and how much was owed. I asked him if they did pay for delete and was first told they don't so I asked to speak with the Manager and was placed on hold for a minute and when he came back he told me that once the payments are made, they will report to the credit bureau the accounts (******** for 536.00 and ******** for 583.00) have been paid and request to have their tradeline removed from all reporting bureaus and that it can take up to 30days for the removal. Well, I've checked my credit report in Nov 2021, Dec 2021 and Jan 2021 and see that the accounts are still there. One account is reporting to two bureaus and the other is reporting to all three. The only thing thats changed is the accounts have been re aged which is an FCRA violation, the chargeoff date isn't correct, and some bureaus shows paid.. I've reached out to Conserve and the credit bureaus multiple times and have gotten no where. I want these accounts removed like I was told they would be.
